| To bring more content to my favorite forum on the internet. ....( sorry in advance if you hate reading) After a pretty long hiatus of trying to forget that this exist, I've come to the realization that this sedan is not going away. I have found myself doing all sorts of shit in the last couple years that took some attention and focus off of frivolous spending on things that make no sense towards it. I have finally settled into an actual career rather than just trying to find the next hustle to make a quick buck. (shy of handing out some Lake Street Hand Shakes...) I find myself slowly starting to enjoy my new WRX, which brought me to making small nerdy alterations over the recent months. I was in the garage yesterday doing some preventative maintenance on it (plugs and check over for a trip). I sat down for a safety meeting and stared deeply into the skylines empty pit of a chassis that's currently standing. .... It was then I realized that its now or never. I need to be excited about the car rather then glaring at it in disinterest. I have some bigger life projects that are going to spin off soon. Going to try at upgrade the crib with a new one along with starting construction on the Dirty Love factory I can't let this become lost in the mix or worse yet...sold to someone I don't care about. While cruising at 36,000ft I wrote down a little game plan that will get me moving. Cliff Notes: I will be working on my car again. This will be my main source of slutting pictures as I rid Facebook currently. ( sorry ) Recently I got some Apexi coils wif swift springs from GTR garage. Locked down the rest of my suspension arms with the help of Ryan Clemens and battle version. With those being recent I figure I would keep going on trying to put the car back on the ground. Ive seen dual caliper bracket kits and have not really liked them much due to the cutting and grinding involved as well as it automatically spacing wheels out. I deceided I would give GKtech a shot and run the rear knuckles they have. For the price i got it for its only 1/3 more then the bracket kit that's sold. So hopefully I will give you some good content other then random part buying. Im not going to give myself a stupid finish goal but I will be giving this attention over my xbox one.... | |

| That almost happened.....twice. Needless to say my wife was not about letting me sell this one after I sold the Pink S14. So with that here's to ridiculous car parts! Speaking of ridiculous I forgot to include the purchase of this shit. These were interesting to find....the engrish threw most of my searching off. Who knew that Vortex and Bowtech were the same thing... | |

| Sick. I would be so scared to run those on my rear bumper. One dirt drop and they're gone.
Your wife sounds cool. Usually it's the other way around.

| Please try to sit down before viewing....this is the most recent picture i have. Basically shy of wrecked at this point. That rear tire is only there to keep it from rocking back... The 2 I had, one was a GTS4...shit being awd would not work. So i sold that one off all complete. The other one was a GTST but it was in a really poopy state. Its missing just about everything. Even the fucking gas tank was missing.... I also the last 2 years got stuck "building" a friends car. When it basically turned from helping to doing...it consumed the little life I had. Because I was having such a miserable time I wanted nothing to do with mine. The GK pieces ( dropped some money on the front knuckles this morning) are the last 2 things to put it back on the ground. I finalized the arms the other week... This project is a complete overhaul. I knew that going into it. Had I been able to keep the first one I can guarantee you that you would have already saw it driving at this point. I hate rushing to finish car stuff. I wont say im trying to rush but im definitely moving forward as fast as possible now. I needed a spark and my wife delivered that. Its pretty tough to watch all your friends do something you desire so badly for years... im sure some understand that feeling. | |

| Went through the exact same shit. My car sat not getting touched forever (like two years) while I waited for someone else to do the work i paid them to do, eventually I got fucking fed up and realized I needed to just make a final push to finally get it done rather than have it end up getting parted out. At least yours is in your own garage! I had to make a 400 mile round trip every saturday for over a year to get my shit done. | |

| If it required me to drive 400 miles to work on my ride I would probably find the closest bridge and drive off it.
That's pretty amazing you had the patience to do that.
The 2 years for me as well is about right though. Sad.

| Yea it fucking sucked. Sometimes I would spend 7 hours driving just to work on my car for 3-4 hours. But at that point it was either that or it would still probably be a bare shell rotting away.
You seem motivated and I'm super excited to see what comes out of it at the end.

| Yeah I thought you were quitting this shit. Seems like a crazy amount to do but it looks like you have all the high dollar shit in hand. Needless to say, im rooting you stay the course.
p.s WRX's are kind of cool but they are not as cool as you've been acting about it. Dont fucking drop drifting for accessory mods on a Subaru.

| I think the cool is accentuated by my lack of driving anything with character for years. I actually was considering more than accessories type stuff but I just can't do it....
I got this boys. No more fucking around. No more..evenutally,eventually...

| Couple weekends down of grinding now. My hands are permanently vibrating from the grinder. Worth it. The car is ugly all over. Rust hiding in every crevasse imaginable. I decided the rear of the vehicle would be my starting point so Cody and myself went after it. Looking at a few more hours grinding under the vehicle and I can get some POR15 on the back half of this hog.. I was able to finish the trunk and apply some Versace Oil Slick paint. While under the car I decided to cut the other fender out like the drivers side so I could access the upper part of the rear rail for cleaning purposes. As soon as the back half is complete I can get the rear suspension back in and on the ground again. Here are some before pics of the under side. I felt like seeing how much of a inner fender Ill need to create to save these over fenders from potential explosion. So I finished the day with this half assed mock up. Did I mention I hate rust? | |

| This weather rules.... Tried out media blasting for shit removal. It didn't work as great as I hoped but did ok. I really need a new air compressor. These showed up and are super cool. The continuous trickle of deliveries are kind of fun. I was able to off load my rota's that were found in the trunk of the WRX. I picked these up for summer. I was talked into doing a cage in my car now rather than later. Hoping to have the bottom finished this weekend and rust proofed soon. Then a seat and i should be able to send it away to get that done. A buddy of mine has been renting a room at my crib and its been nice to have a second hand with the lame work... | |

| A giant fucking pain.
The rubberized undercoat fucked me from the beginning. My Media material wasn't coarse enough to cut through it awesome...stuck to using an electric grinder and wire wheels/cones.
Used 3m Undercoat protection. Almost like a stone guard. I think if I was to ever do it again id just pay a company to blast it someplace.

| Wont that shit just scrape the fuck off all the areas where the car will scrape?
When I was 18 I sprayed the bottom of my mint S13 with a shitton of 3M Rubberized undercoat, in 2 months, all that shit was scraped way the fuck off anywhere that mattered anyway.

| The original stuff I took off was probably on there since factory. I tried scraping but it was to tough. The wire wheel was most successful | |
