Finally able to buy myself a real seat!

Back suspension is complete now with this order. Waiting on my coilovers to return from Brett so I can get to putting it together.

That seat is so cool.

Looks good. Excited to see it all together.

Saturday's forecast is a 100% chance for Party.

Damn. Bunch of fancy parts! I can't remember, but do you have wheels for this thing already? Or is that something to worry about a few steps later?

IF im able to im trying to get the suspension in, overs on, wheel on to see how it all works

So I, for the first time ever put new parts on this vehicle. Feels good man.

Started out with SPL offset bushings for the s14 subframe. Found out that this was not supposed to be a combo and had to get a little rough with the frame rail due to the traction rod mount would hit. SO I beat that  shit like recent police departments through out America. It was violent. There was swearing.



It went in after a little while of that. According to SPL I ended up raising the subframe 1/4" with my choice of spacer placement. Cool.

Slowly worked my way through the suspension piece by piece. Set the Traction arm length recommended by GKtech to at least start out close spec wise. Took the time to disassemble every arm and get anti seize in every thread of every bolt and part. ( Because I am a nerd about that shit). The only issue I had with the knuckles was the traction rod bolt just touches the brake caliper bracket...so I had to tap the bolt to sort of skirt past the ear...dumb..

All the bolts replaced with brand new OEM units. SPL lock out for the camber and toe arms. Super happy to just have new shit and not have to piece it all together from a random bucket of bolts.





After that was done I realized I had a lot of day left. I took down my aero and started to play with it. Took the wheel out also to visualize a little. Super happy stoked by the end of the day. I need to lock down some tires to get it on the ground next and then its onto the front suspension.







Got that 5 finga fitment. Blazed as fuck...

Good to see it all coming together! Can't wait to see this on the ground and painted.

Hey man, I just want to say im really pumped on this car lately. Seemed like a pipe dream for awhile.
Now its a bona-fide J spaceship.

So in recent news my bro called in a panic saying he might not have his d21 ready for grid life and was trying to figure out if he could get the Skyline up to par as a back up. He was initially going to have Sam and Chris do the work but they are too busy so I offered up my time to help.

Lucky me....another subframe swap. Getting good at these at this point.




Interestingly enough the car had Nismo RUCA, TRAC and Lower control arms.  I sold him my arms to keep the project rolling and completion within the timeframe I have. Didn't really want to take my stuff off but id do anything for my homies.


Meanwhile I also got my front calipers.

Mike, Yea its so fucking stupid. Ill probably remove like 40lbs of lines and shit when im done. He is pretty lucky I have all the odd bits to make the swap work so quickly. I should document it but im lazy.

Just have to swap the diff cover out. Press in some new ball joints for the Rear LCA's and itll be wrapped up.

 I try to be helpful but honestly if it wasn't for this friend id probably looked the other way.

I finished the coupe up last night. By the time I was done I had plenty of car work fun out of my system for a while.
I pretty much had to sell him everything I owned suspension wise ( besides my GK knuckles). The Offset bushings he bought were stance and did not have any adjustability in them so I used my subframe/spl set up and finished it. He realized that his old ass Tein coilovers were seized on monster truck settings so I removed those and sold him my Apexi set up. Looping the rear power steering lines turned out to be a Meh job too. I didn't remove any of the lines or solenoids. I ended up looping it at the power steering cooler to allow the pump to still pump from both the front and rear sections.

Well that was arranged originally ( sorry Alan). Biggest goal was im trying to build a complex/new house soon, so i needed the room/money. My friend offered to buy it from me "immediately" and come to find out a bunch of dudes pitched in to basically plan on taking the car and doing all the shitty fab work that would have taken me forever to do to make sure I have a car and can do hoodlum shit with them again.

Short Answer: My friends are pretty much the best.
