| seems like that would murder wheel/coil clearance. why not just use r32 shit? isn't their suspension setup lightyears ahead of s-chassis? | |

| ^Considering alot of R chassis in japan use S chassis subframe and suspension I doubt it. Even Takatoris Formula D R34 got in that shitstorm for having a full S14 front suspension and subframe setup. | |

| Yea, putting it like that sets it right where they are in an S13 not loosing any clearance really.
They use a nasty A-ARM/Wishbone in the front stock, and that shit sucks.

| [nerd] Camber curves are way better with a-arm/wishbone suspension. You don't end up with a positive camber curve under compression like McPherson gives on a low car. You gain a lot more mechanical grip with that setup.[/nerd] | |

| By that logic, S chassis owners should be putting R chassis subframe in our shit then, which has never happened, but vice versa happens all the time.
Explain that. | |

| Dunno. S-chassis parts are cheaper. S-chassis cars already have them all and no one wants to convert shit. No idea why the Blitz car uses it evidently. I know the Cusco STI converted from McPherson to double A-arm on one of their time attach cars. | |

The Full Race R14 has R chassis front suspension. Also, since the S13 subframe swaps right in, the S14 subframe will also bolt right in with conversion bushings. The S14 subframe has better pick up points/anti-squat, which results in more rear traction. So, if you are going through the trouble of swapping subframes, you may as well get the better one. I traded stock tail lights for an S14 subframe, so they are pretty cheap.

| Listen, listen, listen you stupid sneery piece of shit.
When people ask a question on this forum, they arent asking the dumb fuck shade tree motherfuckers who havent ever done shit. The full race R14 has R chassis front because it has an entire fucking ATTESA AWD drivetrain. And nobody here is talking about S14 subframes, or your regurgitated zilvia opinion on them.
Shut your fucking mouth and go hand more money to someone so they can fab the shit out of some piece of shit that youll never go hard in.

Explain that. s-chassis have shitty suspension setups for grip, which is whatever because most s-chassis owners want drift cars anyway, which works out just fine. Thats why no one does r-chassis conversions. Now I'm not going to nerd out on this race car business, because we are talking about shitty drift cars, after all. But a-arm suspension IS technically better, and its already all there, so why bother changing it? It's not like skylines lack aftermarket support or anything. Even shitty ebay china companies make all kinds of r32 suspension stuff. oh and Vlado, shut the fuck up.

| More moving parts=More shit to break when I run into this pile of shit.
The A-arm shit would be perfect is we where road racing this mother fucker. But we are not, we are drifting it and we need to be able to get retarded, un-needed steering angle that will mangle the awesome "front upper control arm" this pig has.(Nerd/also, with so little caster in the front it will never drift "nicely", by switching the strut mount, thus adding caster, the car will drive itself.(Think S-chassis, throw the wheel, catch it))
Also, R32 shit is hard to find here in america, yes ebay has it, but it will most likely never show up, or we will get some S14 part they write R32 on and say we are wrong.
Rear subframe has rear-steer stock, and fuck those stupid Hicas lock bars that always break. Imma bolt in some shinny S13 shit unless vlado want to send me that S14 rear for free.
We will make this car cool, so no more of this non-sense talk. I should have it up at the shop in a few weeks to start tearing into it and giving real updates, while Vanillaballs goes and Rolls in money some more.

| ^ try selling that shit to some ls1 dudes.. it has more clearance for the front sump pan, i have one in my car..
but the s13 front lower control arms, and power steering rack bolt right in to the r32 subframe.. why swap it out?

| K so here is a small update I believe the Gts4 is finally going to a new home. Some super rich kid on the east side of the cities wants to make some sort of drifter/highway whatever I honestly quit paying attention. I just know hes loaded, so goodbye car. The Gtst that belonged to my friend now belongs to me. I have full plans to carry out the budget Sr swap to come have a good time fast rather then spend my fortune and time trying to make some retarded dream car. Plus if i finish this, I can go get a Jzx faster. Daelen picked me up some new front and rear subframes. I got a new ARC panel to make it easy on wiring and as soon as we get the two S14's finished and out I will be able to roll it in to actually work on it. In the mean time I ended up with a new cruiser I35 shit is gangster as fuck. Plus Its got Xm. Now I can bowl cruise in style without hassle. Getting pumped for Automass and Shamwow. Regardless of me not even having a car to drive. | |
