| Alright, Iv been trying to figure out why my car runs weird after it's warm. When it's cold it runs awesome. But once it gets to temp it's like it's hitting the rev limiter in lower rpms. It tends to only do it in the beginning of 1st and second gear. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dominic | |

| It's a long shot, but mine used to do that at 50 percent throttle or more, at 2500 to redline. Light throttle it was okay. A slightly bad coilpack and a baby boost leak. I fixed the leak first and it got slightly better, but the new coil pack made it completely normal again.
I suck at diagnosing things, but that's what ended up fixing mine. Is it smoking by any chance? Or backfiring?

| No smoke that I have seen. And it backfired maybe twice after a longer drive once. But it was pretty quiet.
I'm going to check for boost leaks today. Hopefully that helps

| Need more ideas. I tightened all of the couplers on the intercooler piping, checked the injectors for leaks, replaced spark plugs and fuel filter. Anyone have another idea? | |

| Your coil packs? issues with your MAF? sounds like a maf problem to me. maybe a bad signal.
your car can idle and run with a bad maf, however under load it would act similar to your problems you just stated. check those and let us know

| Yeah. I was thinking maybe the maf. Is there a way I can test it? I tried unplugging it and it ran like total shit. As to be expected though. | |

Are you running a safc or anything? you can check your correction values from there. Im not electric savvy but Im sure you can check what the correct ohms should be for your maf.

| Unfortunately I don't have an safc.
I gaped the plugs at .03. Is that to large?
Yes, that was another thing that was weird. I have a Megan fpr and it was set at 40 psi but when I reved it pressure dropped to 35. So I turned it up to 45 so the pressure would drop to the correct 40 psi. That was before I changed fuel filters. I forgot to check after that though.
I think I'm gonna order another maf and a coil pack and see what happens
Another quick note: I was driving today and as I shifted into 2nd there was a backfire. So pretty sure it's missing/running rich. It's just really weird that it runs awesome when it's cold. And now that it's getting warm it's running worst it feels like

| I use the safc because its easier to diagnosis problems. Id invest in a wideband too, to help.
Ill ask some friends in town and see if I can help you out.
