Skater Steves s13. Just picked it up.

Ok fellas. This isn't exactly a build thread yet, but it will turn into one. I can promise that. So far, I just have pics of the car as I got it. I still have to work some stuff out on the plans with Jon down at Kasu. Car should start to come together nice real soon though.


The outside has a bunch of dents all over the place but thats no biggie right now.








Engine looks way better in the pics than it actually is. The shock towers are that nice though.




Frame is CLEAN!!!




Interior came with prelude seats. Not sure if they bolted right in or if the guy put the seats on 240 sliders.... The seats sit real nice and tight though.




Here is the "Pile of Sr" that I have to work with. LOL! And the tranny and box of intake manifolds I get to pick from.

prelude seats look like they hold nicely... but they are butt-fugly!

prelude seats are very nice and tight (for my fat ass anyway) and look way better than stock S13 seat with OEM rip on driver side poking your ribs

Yeah I seen that you were looking for a clean hatch. Whats that coupe you have there? Use it for a project.

As for the ABS and Hicas, I want to get rid of it. Does anyone know anything about deleting the ABS? What all has to be done?

OR should I keep the ABS and see how it performs first. I've seen plenty of videos where the guy slams the brakes and slides into something. Maybe the ABS would help me?

I am keeping the ABS. I think that It might come in handy if I end up getting some of that dreadful understeer towards a wall. As for the Hicas, I am picking up Nachtmensch's subframe next week.

As far as that pile of Sr parts goes, I think I am going to opt out of that one and buy one that has already been rebuilt. Jon at Kasu just got one back from the machine shop.

As far as plans go, the outside of the car will be mostly stock for a while. I have some wank ass ebay wheels with like +35 offset I could throw on. With spacers of course! Not much exterior stuff planned yet thought. I just want to get the Sr in and running good. Eventually full aero and wheels but that will come in time.

As far as the Sr goes, It is an OEM rebuilt shortblock with a knife edge crank. Im going with the 2871R turbo and a Megan racing manifold. I need to get an FMIC and aluminum radiator. I think I'm getting an ebay FMIC and a Mishimoto radiator. They are supposed to be pretty good for the price. I also need exhaust. Not sure what to get yet.

I also want to do some interior work. I want to make it real nice. Although I can't decide if I want to do a bunch of carbon fiber.... or suede. I think suede would be baller status. Also, necessary guages and some tastefully installed neon or led's..... maybe. Then I am getting seats and a cage.

As soon as I sell my corolla, the project will be underway. Give me another week.

OEM suspension with SR = 4x4 fail status.

Suspension first, because after you get SR, you realize that you need another 2grand or so in stupid little shit to make it "just OK"

HOW the fuck did I forget suspension?!! My bad. Stance coils for sure. Everybodys got 'em so they must be good. Probably get them after a couple more paychecks.

I'm also gonna get a complete setup of Kasu Racing suspension links. Tension rods, Front control arms, Rear toe rods, etc. The stuff will probably hold up to anything.
