| never was a huge fan of tint. this thing runs pretty good now, I've been driving it around a bit. I made an intake and stuff too. It feels good to drive it around. Finally got to cruise in some nice weather with the windows down. The car still isn't completely reliable for reasons unknown at the moment. Sometimes it starts up and idles and runs awesome, others it will barely start, struggle to idle for a little while and die... Once thats figured out this thing is pretty much ready for the season. Well, that and fixing a few minor oil leaks. Oh, and today I got these plug and play adapters to make my kouki bumper lights work. Since I have working turn signals now I thought that might be cool.

| yea
most of that stuff is sorted out now.
alternator wasnt charging because there was too much resistance between the alt and battery. So we made a new power cable using and amp wiring kit and it charges perfectly now. The dash light is still on though for whatever reason, think I'm just going to cover it with tape.
o2 and oil psi switch are both hooked up properly now (I think)
and the 2nd coolant temp sensor that I dont have hooked up is only used for the CSI so I dont really need it, so I dont have to worry about that.
Now to just figure out why half the time I start it up, it runs like shit and dies right away, and the other half it fires up perfectly and revs/drives awesome. My TPS is out of adjustment, but that isn't the problem I don't think.
Either way, thanks for the compliments guys.

| on that idle issue, sounds like you have an [intermittent?] vacuum leak somewhere, and since it is a periodic thing, i'd start checking where the emissions crap was [i'm assuming you removed it] and your idle air intake valve | |

| wouldn't hurt, then again this is the internet and it's hard to troubleshoot anything via text, however based on the description you gave it sounds like a vacuum leak at idle.
who the fuck really knows, it's probably something gay like the timing is off 0.5 degrees or some shit, but i always suggest starting with the easy to find/fix

| nah, thats just it. half the time I start it up it WONT rev. I'll start it up and it will sit there struggling at around 400-500rpm. Giving it gas either just kills it instantly, or has no effect, it will still just sit there around 500rpm struggling to stay running.
Then I'll let it sit for a while, maybe disconnect the battery for a few minutes. Try starting again. BOOM healthy 900rpm idle, revving smooth and snappy, drivable and all.
then if I shut it off it starts the process over. Try to start it, wont run for shit, shut it off, wait, disconnect battery, turn it on again and its good.
etc etc etc. like clock work.

| only problem with that is I have to let it sit for a while and disconnect the battery before i can start it up again. Or else it will just keep on fucking up.

| My car does that same shit. If the motor warms up all the way (on warmer days, because thermostat is stuck open) it'll do the same. Runs fine, then I'll turn it off, and while the motor is still warm, it'll run like shit for a few seconds and just die. Then I have to wait for it to cool off.
In my case I'm 98% positive it's my EVAP stuff, so check the emissions crap maybe like someone else said..? Just a thought.
