Slow progress.
Homeboyzilla did me a grand favor and painted my bay Silver. Came out dope and I'm pumped about it. Parts shop max finally restocked their high mount kit so I went ahead and ordered that along with the intake pipe kit. Got everything this week. I just finished throwing everything on. Should be motor shopping in like a week or two.
Oh yea, apparently my steering rack ate dog shit while the car wasn't running. ???. Fucking retarded. So yea I have to replace that stupid ass thing.

Picked these two gauges up last night. Original plan was to run NO gauges since money is a little tight but these came up for a decent price and so I made an offer. These will do for now. Whenever money is abundant, I will be getting some nice 60mm shit.
Cmon tax refund! Haha! Fucking hate not having a motor. haha

Best way to turn a multi thousand dollar engine swap into a total waste is to run no gauges. I'm glad you're being smart and not making the mistakes I did.

So we got some engines Ted.
It's shitty looking and old but fuck it. Fingers crossed. Lol. If it doesn't work I'm selling everything.
Ordered wiring harness right away. Got here ultra fast too. Can't go wrong with new wires and plugs on a harness. One thing I will not deal with is wiring problems. Fuck that.
Since money is tight I decided to tap the oe water neck for water feed/sensor source. Came out great. Glad I didn't waste money on an adapter.
Then I got a Tomei N2 oil block to take care of oil sensor shit. Traded my Good ol' Top Secret 300ps shift knob for a cs relocation kit. Was sad to see that go but: runningcarwithdickheadpartsyoudontreallyneed>dickheadpartsyoudontreallyneed. Lol. Whatever. Oh yea also engine mounted the oil relocation as opposed to chassis mounting it. Looks pretty great I think ^^^Should look cool once the valve cover is painted blue.
Also had the Izumi pipes welded up. They had a crack at the Y split and shit. Now I wait for the stupid steering rack to happen. It'll happen eventually.

Working at a snails pace. Money flow is ultra slow and low.
Homeboyzilla and me got the motor in finally
Then I slowly started buttoning up exhaust and wiring jams. Felt good throwing the Izumi pipes back on.
Went for a first start up and never actually got to crank it. Haha. Water pump started leaking right away. So I was gonna start it anyway and poured the oil in. Nope. Leaking oil pan at the gasket pretty bad. Said my fuck-hailmarys and dropped the oil pan to reseal. Lay down the rtv and I go to put it on but I end up stripping and breaking a bolt in the upper pan. Fuck me right? So I drop it again and call it a day.
Come back a few weeks later and I extract my fuck up, reseal blah blah.. Next day I go to pour in the oil and make sure I ain't leaking. Boom. ANOTHER fucking leak. Turns out the fucking pan was also cracked. I guess I missed it from the anger of looking at the gasket leak. Lol.
SO, after figuring out the whole oil pan bullshit, I finally get it all to bolt on. New water pump. We ready for this shit. Fast forward to today now. I go and get the oil pumping before a start up. Get the head all wet and ready for full blast. Connected cas and it fired right up. Gonna get an appropriate fuel pump and dump some 93 in this mug. Meanwhile I'll also wire up the temp/oil meters so I can be sure I don't toast anything.

Got a bunch of little shit to fix. Like any fresh swap, really. Gotta put in some miles to see what's broken or not. Runs good beside that. Feels strong. Small rattle at like 1k but I think that may be lifters being dickheads. Since I'm poor, this thing is using the exedy stg1 it came with. Crazy difference coming from hd pressure plate/unsprung 4 puck disk. Feels like I'm stepping on tulips. Also reverse is being a hoe and grinds on the way in. Besides that, I have the rest of the body vinyl finished and on, finally. Waiting for homeboyzilla to paint his whip so I can paint the wing, canards, and valve cover.
Burnout after I finish chasing all the little gremlins.

Thanks dudes.
I think I've sorted out all the small issues. Water temp gauge doesn't work (stack meter) and oil pressure sensor leaks oil (not from fitting, from actual sensor. Also stack meter). Steering pump is making a bunch of gay ass noises. That shit is probably on its way out. Rear end making a fuck ton of noises. Hoping nothing breaks. Everything is on tight.
I was driving it around completely illegitimate (like all the boys, currently) and I ended up getting caught up on it. Nostalgic feels were had when the pussy ass copper handed over 6 tickets and kept my license. Haha.
Since then I've registered it and been zipping around. Had a grand time yesterday at tomys house. Ninja stole these off d*'s insta.
Then homeboy and me went on a random cruise after we all split. Was fun until we got stuck in hour long traffic. Haha.
Burnout as promised. Kept it short cause I'm poor and don't have any money for tires.

It's been a while bros. Bunch of stuff has gone down. I'll try to (briefly) cover some of the stuff up until this point.
Since the last post, the G-Corp wing has been painted. Ditched front spacers for some extendo lca's, courtesy of Kam. I've also added a boost gauge, trunk interior carpets and panels, and modified my fuel sending unit to fit a Bosch 044 fuel pump, as I was using a borrowed walbro from Angel (thanks so much).
I drove my very first usair event. Went up with the boys and had tons of fun. Sucked ass and was dealing with power steering failure.
At Ryan's house. Usair! Got back motivated to drive more so I got crackin' on the power steering. Bought Ka pump seal kit and did the pump myself. Shit came out gravy as fuck. Also added an fd3s cooler for the ps so that's nice.
I was broke for the most part of the year so i wasn't able to go back right away. Ended up doing Hot Import Nights with Tomyguns, Angel and their crazy ass Silvia's. Got super drunk and had a great time. Came away with "Hottest Drift Car" so that was sweet as shit.
Went on a cruise to Buffalo Wild Wings in Skokie like the old days. Highway blast with angel and trucky were fun as hell. Truckys car is fast as fuck. Hope to do some more cruising this coming summer.
It was time to go back to usair. A week before I decided to take some photos cause I was bored as shit. Coppers showed up and were ultra cool. Bullshitted with them for a while and they asked me to do a burner. Since it isn't every day a couple of cops ask you to do a burner, I went ahead and tried to put on a show for them with a 2nd gear smokeshow and it bit me in the cock. I was piss poor when I swapped in my sr so I left the already beat exedy oem replacement in there. Needless to say, I smoked more than tires. Limped it home tail tucked between my legs style. Embarrassed as fuck.
I immediately ordered a 4 puck disc from summit and did a rush clutch job. Finished a day before dday and drove all the way up Shawano for my second chance at drifting. Fresh ass power steering and fresh ass clutch. I was pumped.
I drove like shit. Actually worse than my first time. Broke the dog dick out of all my aero. Literally all of of it. Front bumper , 1 splitter ate it, both sides ate it, and my rear ate it. Even the oem duct from the fd cooler for my ps ate it. Did more off-roading than drifting. Had tons of fun again but I was salty as fuck.
Pissed off, I registered for the season closer. Unfortunately, nobody else (from our team) drove except my blues bro angel. Was super grateful I didn't go alone.
Homeboys titties ass Silvia. Went back with the intention of taking it easy and trying to not break shit. Didn't even bother taking off the aero. I still sucked but I somehow was able to half ass link intermediate. It was by far the most fun I've had. Though I wish the rest of the boys could've been there to help me.
Finally! A picture of drifting!!! Just one though cause I still suck and nobody takes pictures of people who suck.
On the way to and back Shawano, I was getting some ultra funky low temps. Then on the way back, once we hit traffic my temps rose up like a motherfucker. Don't know what kinda cooling issues there is but I'm hoping it goes away. I've replaced the thermostat to a nismo piece but haven't driven the car enough to determine if it was the thermostat or not.
Then I decided it was probably a good idea to add an oil cooler. I was already using a Tomei oil block w/circuit sports relocation kit. Ditched the CS kit and bought a Trust thermostatic filter mount. Didn't really put much thought into cooler sizing and just ordered whatever sounded right, price wise. Goofed and ended up with big ass earls 19 row cooler. Whatever. Lol. Then wasted an absurd amount on the AN fittings and line. I've since made the lines but have not bolted anything down.
Also started re-doing the radiator duct. I had thin ass aluminum before. Shit was poorly made. Bent and ripped at the first time my front went off. Still in the very early stages.
Other than all that, mechanically, I only need to replace the wastegate actuator. It ate shit and I noticed it on the drive back from the last dday.
As far as exterior goes, it's getting fully re-done. New aero (same aero), overfenders, new rear wheels to compliment the new wide quarters, new 80mm spacers and new paint (same color). I'll try to keep this thread updated. Thanks. Hope you enjoy the read.

Thanks bros!
I bought new motor mounts. Loved my old ones but tightening down my alternator, power steering, and well, pretty much everyhing in the engine bay, got super old. They vibrated everything off to high hell. These are essentially the same thing. They use individual studs instead of the previous single-bolt style through everything, so vibrations should, theoretically, be greatly reduced.
Finished up the radiator duct. I went gorilla with the rivets on one side. Pretty sure I was hammered while I was doing this.
Also tightened down all the lines for the oil cooler finally. Kinda sucked ass. Also replaced and relocated the fuel filter. Remote mounted oil pressure sender is the coolest shit ever. It's completely hidden. Haha. I need to buy some silicone hoses for the surge tank since the new Trust filter mount took its spot. Going to relocated that further back. Likely on the firewall.
I started taking off all of pipes on the turbo to make some room to tighten up the motor mount. Ended up removing the piece of shit wastegate actuator too. I'll probably order the HKS replacement next week.
Pos actuator:
Oh yea, I also got my shit from streeter. Took like 3 days to get to me from Japan. INSANE
I think I'm gonna try to paint this thing myself. Well homeboy or Trucky if I can get them to help me. Really hope I don't fuck it up.
I am also debating wether to finish doing all of the body stuff to it or wait and drive the season opener at usuair. I can't do both because I likely won't have money to swing both.
Either way, I'll be back with more stretched out micro-updates.

Another drift picture! Lol. I think this one is from last years opener.
Bought some nice front tires. They were on sale and I got them for a really good price.
Old battery was dead so I had to buy a new one. This one is a tad taller, so it's hitting somewhere on my hood. I'll be cutting the skeleton off whereever it's hitting. It's enough to raise the hood so it looks all funky.
Also installed the hks actuator too. I think I ended up at 9psi, pretty much eyeballing it. Which is good cause I didn't want to go over 10 anyway.
Then I had to do a little ripper out of excitement.
I received my new wheels aswell. It's only a rear pair. Their main use will be for daily use. I will continue using 17's all around for drifting. They are a pair of Advan TCIII, so they won't look too off from my TCII. They weren't available in silver 18x11 so I had to order in dark gun metallic. I think I'll be trying to color match my TCII. If they are off, I will just powdercoat them all to Silver. I am excited though.
I've decided to slap on the new aero and paint stuff after the first event. Weather will probably be nicer anyway and I want more seat time before a refresh.
Here's to spring and the summer fuckers!!!
