| okay i got the engine running... here's the problem, it will not idle. it'll start, run for a few seconds, rev to like 2000~2500 rpm and then drop to 0 rpm and die...
i've plugged all the vaccume lines [removed EGR] and that's all that i can really thing of. the only other thing is the AAI [idle speed controler]
any and all help would be nice
thanks

| Damn that blows it sounds like a leak to me. The idle control is pretty much trial and error I dont think that would be the prob if it spikes to 2500 and dies | |

| well i figured out part of the problem, there was the injector ground wire that was not connected...
so now it still does not idle... grr...
took care of the vacuum leak and everything, joe says that my timing is off and i agree with him because when i drive it there is a missfire a lot. so my question to you guys is how do you time a KA24DE???
seriously, this is confusing the hell out of me | |

| Doesn't joe have a timing gun ask him it took us like 12 hours to get the timing right on his car but it wouldnt have takin as long if he would have plugged in all the spark plug wires in the correct order. Just get a timing gun and start at top dead center. Then advance the distributor if needed to line up the timing hashed on the cank | |

| Yes I remember joes car having to advance a hair for it not to run like shit. We advance the distributor probably more then 20 so it wouldnt sputter but then again we were goin by trial and error | |
