I could see that providing some amount of structural rigidity. Maybe if the car had a full weld-in cage then i would do it.

nah ive looked it up. they arent structural at all. they are just spot welded in to support the rear seats. jon's mailing me a spot weld bit to use to get them out. it looks MUCH better that way.

Cool. I just dont pay attention to shit like that. I gave up detailed "racecar" builds many years ago.

shiiit, this isnt anywhere near a racecar. i just think it looks nicer without those brackets. and i might as well do it BEFORE we paint back there. i just want it to look all smooth and clean in the rear. the car still has FULL interior from the seats forward. no way i'm getting rid of my carpet, door panels etc.

the car is not going to be that color, just the bay and interior. (unless i end up liking it that much)

i havent actually seen it in person. i'm at school and he just got bored and hammered it all out in one night.

my friend josh is doing the work. if any of you guys need paint/fiberglass or any kind of body work he can do it. cheaper than any prices around, he will also work for parts. coughtruckycough

didnt do much this weekend. turbo lines still arent here so I cant put the engine in yet.

i did un mask the whole engine bay, bolt everything back down, hid some wires and shit, put fenders and radiator in for no reason. started drilling spot welds, and took my coilovers off to remove some collars though... kinda productive I guess..
