yes, the car looks a million times better after a good wash and wax (or in this case a half-assed rushed one) - D*star wrote:

Cool shit. hahahaha yeah. my girlfriend sat in the drivers seat when it was in the garage, she said, and i quote, "WOAH! this feels like a go-kart!" haha. i want to go like 2" lower, but im going to have problems with my frame/entire flat underbody scrapping across the ground. i mean, im not that concerned because the shell of the car is super cheap, but id like it to last me til next year atleast.

| alright. i now have power. i wasnt sure if infact the exhaust cam was off 1 tooth or not. it was closer to half a tooth retarded. so i decided to change it anyway (woo non-interference motor!) and test it out. it threw a CEL (but no code) when i first started it up (no belts hooked up) but i figured id put the SC and ALT belt on and take it for a drive. sure enough, CEL went off after the belts were put on. i took off and lost a piece of my exhaust that was ghetto rigged on there makes good power now, but i think the dizzy is off a tooth now (cranked all the way clockwise looking from the cabin side). it had to be all the way that way to get it to idle, but my timing mark on the crank doesnt line up when i use a light on it. that will be fixed tomorrow-ish. tonight i can finally do an alignment and see how the car feels with the coils, wheels and tires, and TRD alignment specs | |

| everyone likes pics. it drives straight[ish] now. couldnt adjust the rear toe because the 21 year old tie rod rusted together. sorry for the ultra shitty picture. they were quick, as the instructor decided to bitch at me after HE said that WE can bring our own cars in and work on what we want. then today he bitched that i didnt watch people work on converting a r12 AC system to r134 (yet he didnt tell me when i pulled my car in, or call anyone in the class over to do a demo). luckily we only have 2 weeks left. | |

| Damn automotive instructors. My high school instructor was just like that. Pissed me off.
I got away with a lot of stuff though considering I was the most car knowledgeable student in his classes. Not that I'm a car genius but because everyone else in the class was just a dumbshit.

Car does look good though. 1) i know. i need rear toe links before i go lower and fuck up my rear toe even more. alignment is as follows LFCamber: 0.4° (-0.3 - 0.8°) Caster: 4.3° (4.6 - 5.6°) Toe: 0.03° (0.00-0.08°) RFCamber: -0.3° (-0.3 - 0.8°) Caster: 4.5° (4.6 - 5.6°) Toe: 0.03° (0.00-0.08°) LRCamber: -3.7° (-1.4 - -0.4°) Toe: 0.36° (0.16-0.24°) RRCamber: -2.6° (-1.4 - -0.4°) Toe: 0.09° (0.16-0.24°) Thrust Angle: 0.14 (0.00 - 0.40) 2)no, but just barely. the drivers side is though. i need to take my wheels off and crank that shit way negitive (what i plan to tomorrow). i had no room on the lift to use the air jack, it just wouldnt clear anything. by doing so will also stop the slight rub i have up front. as you can see, i was mainly concerned with getting my car going straight by adjusting front toe only. im ordering these:

| belt came off for the SC/WP. turns out the tensioner pulley for that belt came off.
toyota wants $156 or something for that pulley alone (no bracket). i lost it in a fielded area, so that pulley is more than likely gone.
oh, but an aftermarket pulley kit (crank, wp, and tensioner) is $289
