| *Pretend that RB25DET is not an option anymore*
I'm just curious as to what you guys would do. I am leaning towards the RB at the moment. Anyone know what the stock internals can take in a KA24E?

| i was thinking about getting the ka24de and turboing, but for the price of the turbo kits, i can get an RB with money left over for parts like down pipe, thermostat, ect.
the CA would be sweet though, but hard to get above 300 whp

| pick the engine for what you want to do with it. RB = drag KA = everything else If you want the best bang for the buck, get the KA. Nice thing about the KA is there's lots of parts, unlike the RB and the CA. On second thought, don't buy a KA, that way they'll be cheaper when I need spares! | |

| Yea good question rob. But I mean if you want it to be able to compete in all events pretty good I'd go ka. I just think with that motor and a good setup it would be a very balanced car in all 3 events. Plus the ka-t's look sick w/that top-mount | |

| Yea just go ka-t like I said ull be able to adjust setups and what not but you could also do that with whatever but hey its your call if it were me just way price and quality. Remember you get what you pay for so dont try and hold back when getting a motor. Being cheap gets you cheap shit | |

| no dont stay single cam.
JGS has some nice kits for the de and the E.
U can easlie piece together a turbo kit for 3k. But dont forget tuning. It is not optional.

| yea, I know tuning is important. are there any aftermarket cams for the sohc KA? If not, then swapping in a dohc seems like a good idea | |

| If you want balance, you should go with a lighter motor. The front end of the s13 is a bit heavy anyway. Personally I would say your best bang for you buck is the SR. Its fairly cheap and a lot of people have them. Parts are everywhere. Ka-T is more for just strait power... same with RB. CA... fuck that. Pos 1.8L. There is a reason hardly anyone has these... they suck. They get them to be diffrent. Diffrent isn't always better. | |
