| got my car back from ILL Garage today. I had to get my turbo elbow/downpipe modified so it would clear the steering column. Got the cat deleted and it goes straight into the exhaust | |

| pics of the downpipe workin on the wiring harness. Removing old cracked tape and re-taping it, tagging all plugs, and finding any trouble spots that need fixing. I need to find a place that sells twisted shielded pair wires and also just single shielded wires for some of the plugs that got extended. | |

| I seemed to have jinxed myself when i set my May deadline to get the car running. I barely have the weekends to myself anymore to work on the car. But anyway, I have been making some progress during the weeks on the wiring harness. Several sections required for the shielding to be extended, so I made my own shielding using the exterior section of coaxial cable. I used a utility knife and scored the exterior sheathing just enough so that a tug was only needed to remove it. I had to make sure not to press down too hard otherwise I would have cut through the copper braiding After getting it all exposed, I squeezed one section down to get the dielectric section into a vise. The braided copper acts like a chinese finger trap, so you have to compress it to get it off Where the original shielding needs to be extended I then stretched it all so it was snug on the wire and began to cut the excess that was scrunching up at the plug Engine side of the wiring is basically done. All i need now is to clean up the ECU side of it | |

| I've been out of the state for a chunk of july so I didnt do much with the car. got back from cali late last week, so now I'm back to working on it I hooked up the coolant lines going to the turbo. A water hardine was missing so I had to find a brass tee that was small enough to fit in the limited space between the motor and the firewall. I wired up the consult plug, and I cut holes for the intercooler piping. I used some of the plastic jacketing that was left over from the coaxial cables I stripped to use as a trim for the intercooler holes so that I wouldnt cut my hands or scratch anything up. Its pressed on, but I'm going to use some silicone to glue it to the hole. I need to swing by to TF tomorrow with my warped radiator. It took some time to get some response due to Mishimoto, but they said they need to ship my radiator back in order for me to get a new one. I'm gonna see if they can just give me one right away from the shop so that I can finish this car quicker | |

Can we fast forward to a soundclip of it with no exhaust shooting fireballs in your garage? | |

| got the moroso battery box installed in the trunk. Had to drop the fuel tank to get it in. Friday I'm gonna wire it up to the engine bay. driverside tension rod is bent to shit, so it looks like I need to buy some aftermarket ones this week. Intercooler piping all hooked up, fuel lines, AAC and some other crap. Swapped out the driverside headlight motor so I dont have to listen to the screech anymore random shot | |
