actually just got this car, I traded my CRV for it to use as a winter beater, but I'm not so sure its what I'm looking for in a daily. Its fun though. CX is like the one base model to rule them all, no power options, manual steering etc.
97 Civic CX.
engine:
B18c GSR w/ LSD trans.
Skunk2 intake mani
65mm port matched TB
Password JDM intake.
RS*R header
some kind of exhaust with an Apex'i ws2 muffler, super quiet.
stage 2 clutch.
AEM fuel rail w/ gauge
fluidine aluminum radiatior
skunk2 dual bend shifter.
Suspension:
K-sport coilovers (front passenger dampening knob is froze, probably fixable though)
blox LCA's
Front strut bar
civic HX wheels, painted white.
Exterior:
Ek4 Si-R front lip
oem honda hood bra
spoon mirrors
no name fiberglass wing
Interior:
jvc head unit.
99-00 Si gauge cluster.
hidden kill switch, this car was street parked in humbolt park for a whole year and lives to tell about it.
GSR shift knob (i may or may not include this)
... if not it will have a blox shift knob.
The good:
No serious rust, solid quarter panels. This car is mechanically solid. starts up every time, no questions asked. It has a brand new OEM steering rack, new inner and outer tie rods also from honda, new control arm bushings all around, engine has been maintained, all fluids have been changed. Interior is complete. Has awesome heat etc. Clean title in hand.
The bad:
the body and paint look like shit, exterior is probably a 5 or 6 out of 10. The car has been repainted twice and looks pretty damn shitty. Driver door and fender have a dent or two. Windshield has a crack. Interior is also kind of ugly. Its all complete, but its not in the greatest shape, it shows its age, all lights and buttons work like they should though.
Overall if you're looking for a winter/daily and don't mind ugly paint. This car would be damn fun. I've been dailying it for 3 or 4 weeks now and I've had fun with it, made several trips back and forth to IL and all over wisconsin, so its reliable on long trips.
