| Well the common problem with leakdown tests is that the engine ends up moving because of the shop air thats being put into the cylinder. This forces the piston down and turns the crankshaft. When this happens you cant get a good reading of what the leakage will be. This can be remedied by finding a way to hold the crankshaft from moving. Usually a 15-20% leak is acceptable. Other than that my engine doesnt burn oil, or leak anything else. It does have the typical timing chain rattle but that can be fixed when doing a rebuild. Its seen better days and id probably do a rebuild if youre serious about boosting or making more power. Ill post when the time comes to sell it. Good luck finding a good one though. | |
