| Yo, serious question.
Why dont you just toss a stock SR in this thing?
Seems like that would be the best for power/reliability/ease/cost/etc...
Stock SRs are nearly free these days it seems! | |

| ok so its been a while here, but I'm bringing this thing back. I decided there was no way I was going to finish this thing on my own living really far away and shit, so I contacted my old friend vinny at destruction warehouse to help out. I waited for a weekend off to load the car up and make the hike down to Kenosha. Uhaul was being a bitch and wouldn't let us use a car trailer with my guy mike's cherokee, so a dolley had to do. I realized I didn't have keys for the car anymore, so tried to pull a honda thief and break the steering lock pin, but I was too much of a pussy, so I disconnected the steering shaft and we steered the wheels by hand. This was a bitch, but eventually we got it loaded. shit was SO close, the dolley ramps were like a mm away from hitting the rockers, and the rear bumper and exhaust were all of an inch from dragging. Fuck it. car made it no problem, caught so many flat brimmed hat and oakley wearing faggots trying to pace us on the highway to get pics. I don't have any more pics other than that, but work started this week, and rumor has it that my interior is all stripped and cleaned, no more sound deadening or carpet. Might seem like not much progress, but the shitty menards carpet in this car was gorilla glued to the floor. Apparently vinny got it off though. Hopefully I'll have more exciting updates soon, but here's a list of what's all getting done. -full cage to '12 formula D spec (basically copying Taka Aono's setup to the t) -replacing passenger quarter panel (the fucked up one) -inspecting, consolidating, and relooming all chassis wiring to make sure I don't have the same problems I had with my old harnesses. -Giving the engine a much needed going through and getting it running well and reliable. -New front wheel bearings -fixing rear brakes and brake - flaring and smoothing fenders Possible extras: -T3 or battle version lower control arms -Battle version traction brackets -permanent sunroof delete. I'm sure there will be more cool little extras here and there, but I want to focus on the major things (chassis, wiring and engine) first so I don't ever have a 2 year hiatus again. Thank you for reading. | |
