WTF...........Tranny trouble.

Okay so i havent driven my car in over a week because my license is suspended.
It was nice today so i decided to wash all the salt of it to roll in it in the garage and prepare it for all the new parts. I turn in on and it starts fine as always. Fires right up. I slide it in revers and it goes in easy car rolls back fine as i let the clutch out. Then i put it in first and it goes in fine car rolls forward fine as i let out the clutch. I leave the car on for about an hour or more while i wash out thoroughly. When im done i put go to put it in reverse and it goes in rough as hell and does a prolonged nasty ass gear grind for like 2 seconds while i try like hell to pull it out and back in neutral. It finally jams out. I try to put it in any gear now and it wont fucking engage.....
Wont go into the gears at all.

I think my trannys fucked.

is the grinding comming from the trans, or the clutch?

I cant really tell....
There isnt any grinding anymore....
Just wont go into the fucking gear.
I cant slot the shifter in the gears it refuses to go in.
But im sure if i try harder itll grind.
Also.....my car wont turn on anymore unless i push the pedal REALLY hard to the ground in order to push in the button or whatever behind the pedal........

is ur car stuck in gear?

possibilities:

1) throw out bearing
2) trans

thats all i can think of. either way you need to pull the trans.

Or i can come inside, post about it.
Then go outside try again and find out the problem fixed itself.

I just recently changed it with fresh Redline shit so it should be alright.

you sure this guy at my work went to change his motor oil and emptied his tansmission fluid and filled his car up with oil then took it for a spin and destroyed his car. Sorry d had to tell a lil story about a retard

no he drained his tranny and put oil in the motor. He used to qts and checked it and it said it was full so he figured what the hell so he was driving with no fluid in the transmission at all

and just a FYI, KA24 transmissions last a total of 8hrs of continuous redline beating without fluid until they go. this is comming from expirence.

it's driveline related... in any case you are going to have to pull the trans for w/e problem.

Dude that must suck but it does sound like a throwout bearing cause it wont go into gear........

no that's not really the case. if it was the TO bearng that would only be if the car is running.. if it's not going into gear even non running that's something else. think about it, sit in your car with it off don't tough clutch and you can still shift into most of the gears synco. depending.

doesnt the trans have like a thin spacer that keeps the oil from splashing back and forth, so that theres always a good amount in the tranny?

if so he prbably only filled it so that the other side of the spacer had oil, not the trans........

I had the same problem with my car. Does your clutch pedal come back all the way when you let go of it? When it happened to me, I couldnt put it into any of the gears, but if I put my foot under the clutch pedal and pulled it back up, it worked for a bit. I changed the clutch master and slave cylinders and it runs fine now.

well when you drain your tranny I think you only can get out around half unless you do like a power purge or whatever anyways he through it in reverse and we heard this metal grinding we told him to stop but he had to split he called 10 minutes later he couldnt get it out of gear hahahah

I shit you not my firend we tried everything and the car would not disengage I resulted to kicking the shit outta the shifter and it still wouldnt I have no idea what happend

maybe it has something to do with him having a piece of shit mazda protege
