wtb 240sx

well i finally have some money and wanna go into the 240. im looking for one to work on near the chicago area. im in a bit of a budget so somewhere near the 1000 range. i need a 91-94 car, i dont really mind rust just as long as its not frame rust. i dont mind dents either just not too excessive. i need a clean title though. i dont really care much if the engine is on its last leg either, i just kinda wana be able to limp it home and would also need it to be 5speed. so if anyone is nice enough to sell a cheap one let me know. iloveimportcars@yahoo.com

i highly doubt u can find a running 240 in chicago that is a 91-94.haha gona be HARD for you to get one, haha i had to look for months for my 240. But if u find one more power to you =) did i mention i had to go outa state?! haha

i hate to ruin your idea but...

you will not find any 240sx in IL, WI, MI, or IN for $1000 that;

a) runs
b) has no frame rust
c) no rust at all

i paid [well actually traded a $4500 car] for mine and had to drive to KY to get it...

good luck, you might find a shell with ass loads of body rust and maybe a little frame rust for $1000-1500

you just need to find one from an elderly person who garages it all the time. and you need a lot of luck.

back on topic.............actually its not hard to find a good condition s13 meaning one with no rust damage blah blah blah.......u can find one but itll be a high mileage automatic...........

dude.. find an automatic 240 and do what most of the people did here just do manual swap... for example just to name few who did it over here was atown 240, and fusion... i really dont know what ur plans with the car... but since u said that u dont care about what condition the motor is, i figured u just gona swap it out... so u mostlikely going to buy a clip which will come with everything u need for the swap... well its just my .02 cents...

when u get a auto 240 you can assume the car wasn't beaten on... who the fuck drifts a auto? who races a auto 240... who beats on a auto 240? i for sure didn't and the 35+ year old lady that had my car before sure as hell didn't even hit 70 in that car.

who cares... buy a auto and you know it wasn't fucked with expecially when it comes to high mileage like mine., i woulda NEVER bought my 240 if it was stick... 188k miles + 5spd. = beat up car.

if u buy a 5spd. 240 keep it under 125k miles

true... look i bought my 240 yea it was stick it had only 128k but the motor was already gone i had to literaly change almost the whole front suspension ( inner and outer tierods, balljoins and etc...) so yea... its really your choice how much money u want to spend... we just here to tell u wat we think and we went through... hope u find it

O yeah i went over a divider today on the street that was like 2" high and i almso got stuck on my frame rails.

stay away... i've been trying to figure that out on my car for the past 3 weeks... it's a pain in the ass and i doubt i'll ever get it fixed

well im plannin to just drop in a completely new ka so engine doesnt really matter right now...i saw it and drove it...i might take this one....i offered him 700...ill wait and see if he takes it...ill take it for a grand, just trying to see if i can get it lower u know...but yea we'll see...

u got anymore info on that car.. like the millage and etc.... just interested not like im gonna buy it... lol... im broke like a motherfucker...

its got 135000, leathr interior...its got a dent on the left side not bad tho...white....pretty much the engine is the only problem...i mean i only got to look at the car for about half an hour in the dark...and i got to drive it in the parking lot only...coz it had expired tags...
