thanks yea, get a online and search to find the manual. otherwise. if its just like the safc2 there are a few settings. like monitor, somthing, settings. go to settings. and select somthing like correction i think. i have one in my car..i just dont want to run outside and read it. and then you would use the dial to turn it left (turn it down taking away fuel) or turn it to the right to put more fuel) SORRY I FORGOT!, you need to have a wideband.so you can monitor your A/F i mean i guess you can be cheap and lean your shit out. and boom.but its your car not mine.

| even with wideband changing fuel maps with SAFC will fuck up the tune. Cheap ghetto tuning isn't a solution. Buy hey, I enjoy reading "my shit blew up" threads. | |

Wideband is like $200 - if you're trying to tune SAFC Going with mail rom tune - $500 Full standalone + dynotune - $$$$$$$$$$$$

| You can go to AMS performance, or Sound performance both ofer SAFC tuning for about 200 a hour. It only takes about an hour. I would suggest you have everything running right before you go. And don;t let them do any work on your car unless you wanna spend 95 bucks a hour. But they will tune it for you. PS if you have a KA then it should take less then a hour, if you have a SR20 then you might wanna buy 2 hours. Oh and even with the ROM you will still need a SAFC just to make sure it's fine tuned. LOL fine tuned and SAFC shouldn't be in the same sentence. | |

| +1 two that last two posts, you are better off spending the $200 and getting it tuned by a professional, if you have no idea how to tune it. Its beats buying a new engine, and spending a heck a lot more than $200. | |

Pros would tell him to go standalone. Piggybacks are bandaids not tunes.

| when tuning an afc, your just correcting fuel curves to to the proper air to fuel mixture.. it does not however, adjust ignition timing on an afc. thats why most people use standalone or a different type of piggyback that have that option.. | |

| if you lean it out too much, it can cause detonation thus ruin your engine.. if you runit rich, you can run in to washing out your cylinder wall and then ruin your ring seal, etc.. proper tuning will eliminate all these issues. | |
