The Rhd S13 build thread.

I figure I should start a build thread even though it should be time to get it together and back on the road this time of year. Well it begins with the people that did the conversion before I bought the car did a shit job on it and did a half firewall swap, so no heat, blower motor or anything under the dash leaving 2 big ass holes in the firewall. My second reason is because my Sr finally took a shit, I am thinking possible broken ringland or ring.

I forgot to grab the camera in the first 5 hours of tearing it apart, but I should have some pics to show from now on. Sorry for the shitty pics I dont have a tripod and just wanted to snap a few really quick before I call it a night.

Currently I am working on the wire tuck, I wont be shaving the bay but I will be removing all of the welded on brackets that will not be used.

Well today was garage cleaning day so we all did that after work, and then we got to work on the motor. Here are some pics of the slow progress as of right now the motor is about half way torn down.






My degreased and painted suspension with new wheel bearings, not all finished yet more pics later.

Too many pics not enough info on what its being done for.

As of right now just tearing it down, the sr is getting built I havent decided on exactly what internals im going with yet. As for the bay it will be tucked and sprayed, as for the body over fenders, origin lab agressive kit, suspension arms wheels and coilovers are yet undecided.

Pulled one piston out which is the main cause I believe, the others should be fine but will be pulled later.

I found a broken ring and broken ringlands.

ahhh that sucks. It looks like a nice project, id like to see the end result.

That cylinder wall does not look very pretty. I take it you are going to get it to the machine shop soon?

Actually the wall isnt too bad a hone would take care of it, but I am looking at 86.5mm wiseco or mahle pistons.
