| What the fuck was that shit. If my ecu didnt have power i doubt it would turn over at all nor would anything work. Also, my car had been not turning off once in awhile for a week or two, after i drove it for awhile it would shut off properly.
What do you suggest the most probable solution is? | |

| no it would turn over, the starter solenoid and starter are a separate circuit from the ECM and everything that runs the car however that is not to say nothing would work the ONLY thing that the ECM controls is the spark and fuel the dash lights, lights, seatbelts, radio, everything else are not connected to the ECM now, as to your car working and running right and only occasionally doing this makes me 100% positive that this is an electrical problem so there is an easy way to test this, take your ECM out and see if there is 12v DC at pin 45 on the ECM harness now if there is no power there then start backtracking and see what's causing it my bet still is there is something wrong with the ignition switch | |

| Ok, we rewired the harnesses and changed the lock cylinder, still no start. We changed out both egi relays and all the fuses. Is there an actual ignition switch on s13's? The cars stored in a garage for the winter rebuild already anyway but i wanna get it to start on the ka at least, so that the problem doesnt carry over to the SR. | |
