I need to just have it removed so I can get a wooden eye like that other dude from the movie. That would be sweet! Actually, no, I like my 20/20 vision. It'll get fixed up tommarow and I should just have some blurryness for a day or two worst case. The meet may be a pipe dream at this point, but whatever. There is always next year. On second thought, someone should take a nice picture from here of my car, enlarge it and tape it to the side of someones car. That would be awesome!

| Alright, left the camera at the garage, but after 4 hours of ATHF The movie, mountain dew, and some cold cold floor action, the SR is in the vert. Heat wasn't optional, it was manditory so after a few diffrent setups we finally got the right combo to make the heat work. All that is left for this (hopefully) is:
Pull wiring into car, hook up ecu, hook up wiring Drill holes for FMIC and Mount it install the shifter run vaccume lines hook up a battery fill with fluids Give er' hell!

| Ok so I got the motor wired, but got hung up bad on the throttle cable. Everyone says dohc cable is the one to have, but on both SR swaps I've done, the SOHC one works better for some reason. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong.
Anyway, so after jacking the SOHC cable I mounted the I/C and started figuring out the piping and where I needed to drill. After gettin it set and ready, turns out the drill doesn't fit the fuckin hole saw... wEAK fuckIN SauCE!!
It's been a while for my SR swap's, but I remember the 3 plugs (2 which need to be cut and spliced) all plugged in somewhere, but there seems to be nowhere for the 3rd (6 pin connector I believe with a couple blue wires and others) to go. Its the one that you don't cut. Other than that, get that fuckin I/C piping done throw some fluid in it and try to start it. But it seems my battery is fucked so I'm waiting on a different one so either way I won't be able to bring it out this weekend. Figures something stupid will stop me. Don't worry though, I'll still be there... just not rockin Nissan.
I'm sad, tired, and hungry... reminds me of the first time I made love...

| Sorry no updates. The vert is all back together minus the shifter and the interior near the ecu. I've had a wiring issue and decided to get rid of this shittacular harness for a good one. The KA has been prepped and is ready to go into the hatch. Should be a couple days and I hope to be driving it by the weekend. The just wait on some parts for the vert and I'll be a happy camper... I hope. | |

| Nah... once that problem was fixed (the plastic piece on the alternator wasn't in place causing a huge short to ground), it still wouldn't start. I have a thread going on over at clubfr trying to figure out why, but no responces as of late.
It'll get figured out one way or another... it always does.

| I've been to busy to reply to this, but if anyone cares, the DOHC hatch project is nearly done. Fluids, and maybe coilovers and its on the road.
The vert however is STILL waiting on parts... so nothing new with that.

| Late late update: I forgot about this thread compleatly till it got moved to the new section. So for what you all missed: The Ka got finished in the hatch. Besides for batteling with the coolant trying to bleed it, it was fairly easy. And since I never got a new motor mount, we JB welded the bitch together and zip tied the crap out of it. We did that just to get the motor in the car. I never thought the JB weld would hold up and suprisingly it held up fairly well considering. The zip ties have since melted or broken off, but whatever. Maybe here pretty soon I'll get a set of mounts and lift the motor a bit to put them in since my buddy is renting a spot to work on his car and lets me do some shit there too. Other than that, the hatch got power steering last week finally. It was a fairly rough winter without it. Had some weak icy/wet winter drift sessions, but nothing to big. Fucked up one of the steelies a bit, but its holdin up fine. Kinda got a bit close to a parking block. Anyway, the SR project (I think) should have been done before first snow, and in realitly, done about a week after I made my last post, but had some problems with Keith. He sent me a shit wiring harness that was cut up and missing connectors (not professionaly done as he posted) and took forever to send me his battery and battery tie down. I would like to say though that Keith did his best to make things right and in my opinion, is a very stand up guy. Even though I had problems with our transaction he didn't just say "tough shit" and tried really hard to make things right and I think he did. I would definatly suggest anyone to buy from him. With that said, I contacted wiring specialties about looking at my harness and repairing as needed because I really don't trust this guys wiriing job. The guy I got the hatch from seemed like a good guy, but after I ran into the first snag with the swap I couldn't ever get a hold of him. I wasn't mad at him for possibly lying to me (even though if that was the case thats pretty weak) because I did expect there to be a few problems. I would just try to get a hold of him just to see what/why he did a couple things just to make it easier to fix, but he wouldn't respond even to my 3-5 messages I left him. Hopefully wiring specialties will be caught up next month and I'll send it out then. But the rest of the shit on the vert: The front tires are crap Rear tires are too big Rear wheels are gay Need a new battery Add trans fluid and install shifter Install repaird harness Have a smoke Try to start the car and see where I'm at. | |

| Oh one thing I forgot to mention. I ordered some 5mm spacers for the hatchback so I can put my old Tein's on there (glad nobody bought them) with the stock steelies. Yeah, I know it weak, but at least the car will be lower and not all bouncy from blown struts like it is now.
Maybe I'll find a pair of wheels for the vert and slap thoes ugly gay 16x7 or 8 +35 SE lookin wheels on it with like a 20mm bolt on spacer or something. IDK.
