PostSubject: Dirty Dee's Build   July 20th 2007, 7:40 pm

I guess I will make a build thread.

It came with:
-rebuilt motor(doubting it after seeing some of the work that was done on the car)
-pacesetter header
-unknown 2.5" catback exhaust
-cone filter
-reupholstered door panels and glove box
-neon lights on the interior and ghetto 7" lcd tv w/ dvd player (all tossed or sold after purchase)
-and no passive seatbelt system

My mods:
- JDM manual seatbelts with trim
-JDM headliner (still waiting for pandagarage on that one)
-Energy suspension master bushing set
-Megan Racing
*Rear lower toe arms
*RUCAS
*Rear lower traction rods
-Kouki
*3-piece rear valence
*2-piece side skirts
-Alpine CDA-9856 HU
-16x8 +10 Rota Grids with 205/50 16R Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires
-Front and Rear SP slotted rotors
-Braided steel brake lines
-Hawk brake pads

Currently, I am stripping off the paint to bare metal to get the car painted. I am thinking of a pearl white with a small hint of pearl blue in the clear coat. The side skirts and rear valence will finally be painted and mounted.

Future planes:
-coilovers
-hlsd
-sway bars
-Engine swap
* CA18DET or 13B or 20B

Did more work today, and I was able to salvage the hood thanks to a paint stripper that works for over 24 hrs. after application

the door and trunk jambs are a bitch and a half

Tomorrow is my last day of work, so I will finally be able to work more than 3-4 hrs. a day to strip it. Estimating the car will be in the bodyshop for paint by tues-wed.

I should just spray some rust-colored paint on some spots and clear coat the rest of the car and slap the side skirts on just primered
