AMD's 200sx

hey guys. i was planning on showing the car at the meet but since im prolly going to basic on the 18th i cant make it anyways, i got the car last month for 1500 from WI. the car has 0 frame rust which i think is amazing since its so old and all that stuffs. anyways... heres some pics.








im currently boosting 14 PSI on the CA. but it needs a tune bad and some new parts. but its quick as it is. while im gone i plan on getting the body fixed of all its rust and dents and of cource repainted lol. S13 rear subframe and the front will be redone with S13 and S14 suspension parts. eventually i plan on taking the old and tired CA18et out and replacing it with a CA18DET. anyways. i hope you guys like it

190hp w/o intercooler, 205 w/ ic.

but if you can find a FJ24ET that was used in the 240RS rally cars, youd be set! 275hp in that thing would make it fly!

How much power do those engines make stock?

about 135 ish but thats at i think 6 psi non intercooled but i gots a fmic-ish thing haha and 14 psi

Hey AMD 240! If i remember correctly i met you very briefly at the meet. Atleast i thought i met you! lol. Well anyways, youre 200sx looks good for the age! Just needs a good paint job and some wheels.


How many miles on that CA? Wow so thats what the single cam CA looks like?! I hear its a decent motor but the dual cam is the way to go. On NICO there was a guy that built up the SOHC CA and then later switch over the the DOHC. He said theres quite a difference in the two! If you need some help with the CA, shoot me an email.

there are about ~200,000 miles on that engine, james has owned a 240 with a CA18DET, and i'm painting it when he gets the money to do so

yea the engine is going out....i think...well its a tired old engine. burns alittle oil at idle and it for some reason doesnt boost to 14 psi no more but it holds at 11 psi till redline... *shrugs*
i just repainted the front bumper today. looks 1000000000000 times better no more chipping paint! im also getting an exhaust on friday as well

buy my subframe.

i need to fix the valve problem first.....and get a job lol

well today i got my exhaust. it was 120 dollars from a muffler shop down the street. its 3inches, no cat, no resonator and no muffler. sounds great and its nice and quiet finally. il have pics as soon as i can

What did you have before? How is an exhaust system without a resonator, muffler, cat, etc. quiet?!

i had no exhaust before. and yes its actually really quiet haha
