Alternator?

So I smelled a little electrical burning, didn't really care. Alternator starts wining a few later, so I figured that's it. Now my battery light is on and I can understand that. But my brake light came on the same time. Everything works like normal, windows r still fast, starts up quick. Doesn't seem like battery isn't charging. This morning both lights turned off after a little bit, then battery light comes and goes still. Is it alternator or something esle? I never relocated harness on the pass side wheel, I know a couple of those wires r cut but never affected anything. Could it b that? I'm just stumped cuz the brake light really. Thanks

If you know wires are cut, fix them.

If you have cut wires you should fix them, they are obviously there for a reason.

You admitted to having cut wires, which COULD be the cause of your problem.
So instead of fixing those for free first to see if it gets rid of the problem, your gonna go swapping alternators and all this bullshit when that might not even fix it.

Fix what you KNOW is wrong first.

Nobody has time, if you took the time youve been on here reading and responding you couldve already soldered the couple broken wires. It doesnt take long.

Figured it out, its alternator. Light comes on when alternator comes n goes. I'm at work, that's why I can post, not work on it. I figured that harness isn't important cuz se's have a thicker one. Thanks

Fix the damn wires. Before you get a short and your battery wants to explode like mine did.

I'm not too worried about explosions cuz I keep my fuses for a reason. Your right tho, I should probly get around to taping them up.

I obviously have fuses too... blew out like 4, and a few of the bigger ones, and battery started leaking. Your call though.
