| I've been hearing a clicking sound recently from my car. At first I assumed it was the axel telling me it was bad, but I just realized that it was comming from the front of the car. It usually happens when I turn, but every once and a while, happens when the car is going straight after a turn, but shortly goes away. Then I noticed that my left front wheel keeps getting an unusual amount of crap on it. After discussing with my brother, he suggested that the hub cap wasn't sealing and the grease was leaking out and that the wheel bearing was making the noise. It makes sence to me, but just figured since the Tech area isn't gettin much use, I'd ask to see if anyone else has encountered this and what they did to fix the problem. | |

| yea if the clicking sound gets louder when you go faster then your wheel bearing is mostlikely messed up... but if its clicking on the turns then check your balljoints and all the suspension... hope this helps alittle bit | |

| Check your tire tread width on the inner side of the wheel. If it's lower than ther other side of the tire then it's your ball joints. i just replaced mine and i got no more noises in the front durring my turns or when i'm drivin on the highway. | |

| Ball joints have been replaced not too long ago. This sound does increase with the speed. I'm thinking the bearing either needs lube or is done for.
BTW, its my half brother who is much older than I. | |

| Lol, check the plastic inner fender. Not even kidding. The front part of mine started coming loose and would get loose as i got faster and started hitting the car. When I would stop it would go back up into place and I had no idea wtf was making the sound. Then one day it gave way and started scraping the ground, then it flew off. | |
