| so im doing my first motor swap and i came across some wires that came through the firewall. i was told i dont need them, and to just take them out. but i came to realize later on that i have to push it through the fire wall. so my question is do i have to take out my dash. and remove my heater fan to get to the wires? or is there another way?
much thanks | |

| I hope by "not needing thoes wires" you mean, your replacing the majority of them. Thoes are your wires going from your motor/fuse box to your ecu/dash. You shouldn't have to remove your heater or dash. Though for ease, you just take out the glove box. Also, the door sill and kick panel will have to come out. Everything should be fairly easy to do, but just may take some effort. I assume your doing a SR motor of some sort into a S14. Just take your time and make sure to look over all the information you can. Feel free to ask any question you like on here (since our database is pretty lame right now), but if you need answers quick, run searches on www.240sxforums.com or www.zilvia.net . Also, another good site for info is www.heavythrottle.com (aka. www.srswap.com). They have a step by step on SR swaps. | |

| When I did mine I took the main harness out through the engine bay and replaced it the same way. Only PITA for me was getting that rubber boot back in place cause it was all dry rotted. | |
