new here

whats goin on guys. Im new to the 240 scene. just recently pick up this 89 coupe with an sr swap and silvia front. im sure most of you recognize the car from craigslist. Before the 240 i had an 04 neon srt-4 with a decent amount of work, car made 340whp/340wtq on a mustang dyno w/ a basic .50 trim setup.

plans for the 240 are to just park it for winter and start collecting parts. going for a top mount t3 setup w/ an aem ems and take it out to the drag strip and hopefully click off some 11 sec passes. enough talk on to pics.

my bumper is probably one of the worse ive seen, online anyway. missing the vents and has the 2 decent sized cracks along the lip

Alot of srt-4 owners are dorks. Even though there are some huge obvious differences between a reg. neon and an srt, at the end of the day its still a neon. But i drove the shit out of my neon proudly lol. Its a cool car for what it is, but FWD gets you no where fast for cheap. Id daily one again though.

i used to live in EP, went to school there. Yea i be around. Its about to be winter so im not to concerned about the rims right now, but for sure they are what i hate most about the car, mainly the balloon ass tires

Id love to learn how to slide with my car, im completely open to it. Kinda affraid ill really get into and completely just leave the drag racing scene all together lol. But it seems like with drifting in Chicago there arent realy many outlets for it as far as tracks go and doing it safely somewhere. then again im new to the scene so im not exactly sure whats out there. I know you guys head out to the south side not far from the street races, and then that spot on Division by Cherry which also used to be a street race spot.

Go to a DDay at USAIR, youll never want to drag race again.
