| Ive done it about 5 or six times now and the back of my ka24de wont stop leaking. It leaks at the cam lobes on the back side of the block, both of them. The first coulpe times I tried new rtv. Then I bought a new oem gasket and more rtv. The bolts had been stripped out and I tapped in some bigger ones. I cant believe this is happening. Does anyone have a way to stop this leak? | |

It could be the head but it looks like the leak is above the point where the head meats the block cause its all wet just below the valve cover where the cam lobes are.

| you're an idiot, your head gasket wouldn't leak oil. He said you ruined the surface on your head. as in the surface that the valve cover gasket needs to seal against. You probably fucked it up.
that or you're just a complete moron and can't figure out how to change a gasket.

| Make sure the gasket lays flat. Use a RTV sealer in corners of the cam seals. Simple install.
Bring the car to me, I'll change it for $40, including a new seal.
