| z33 is an entirely different chassis dynamic. The weight, distribution, etc etc are all going to effect how different spring rates ride. Weight has a lot to do with it (though its not everything) as well, seeing as z33's have a solid 700lbs over an s-chassis..
Theres a reason why 10k/8k is skull rattling in an S-chassis, but 24k/18k in a civic or integra can feel glassy smooth.

| Exactly what Ryan just said, there is no linear way to compare spring rates directly between chassis like that. Haha. General rule of thumb is that the rates increase exponentially with the weight(i.e. 16k in a JZX), but its dependent on many other factors such as suspension design type and bullshit like that too.
EITHER WAY, like I said, dont be discouraged, alot of people (me included) prefer that spring rate, its just not something people generally go for.

| rates like that have their advantages and disadvantages. I think the biggest advantage to that is going to be reduced front to back weight transfer under acceleration.. i.e.: its going to be easier to spin the wheels. BUT at the same time, you're going to lose the side to side weight transfer that low power cars need to drift half way decently. You gotta be able to throw that weight around, which is near impossible with rock solid suspension.
Thats why you used to see dudes like that crazi guy from KY murking niggas with his bone stock s14 kouki. It becomes very easy to drift a gutless car when you can actually throw weight around with stock suspension. BP is also a good example of this, if anybody else saw him driving his girlfriends stock convertible at dday a while back.

| My springs are 10k/8k. However, all coilovers and spring rates feel the same to me, so I have no valuable input. | |

Not sure what buddy clubs you had, but with mine, at the medium setting my seat was sitting on the carpet, To get it to the lowest setting I would have had to take the carpet out. I couldn't even slide it forward or back because it was literally on the ground. Unless you dudes are modifying floor pans and shit to get your seats lower, I doubt your seats are any lower than mine was with buddy club rails.

| People seem to forget that the seat matters to.
My Recaro sits on the floor of my Celica, but if I put my JIC in at the same settings im nearly hitting my head.
So really, whatever works.

| burning bushings sucks so bad, you still got that piece of shit sleeve part of the bushing in there.
if you have an air hammer, and a chisel bit i recommend hitting that sleeve with it, once it kinks the whole bushing/sleeve will slide right out then just throw your solid ones in
