Redline time attack. June 13. I competed last year and plan on doing it again this year. On my first track day out this year I dropped a second on my best lap time of the competition last year. I feel I can easily drop a few more with less conservative braking.

Will the CyberEvo or the Tomei/Cusco STi be there?

I wanna try time attack one day. Though I dont really know shit about grip driving and would probably feel like a fucking fish out of water. High five for actually doing it dude. Ill be out there watching for sure. Autobahn is like 10 minutes away from my parents.

Yeah, i follow the redline series a little bit, and am familiar with most of the cars, but I dont know all the classes too well. What is the entry fee for an event like that? Is the tech very scrutinous?

The class rules are kind of a joke compared to anything else I've ever competed in. Street RWD is what I run. Basically street tires, Cat, registered with the state/ legal to drive on the street and a limit on tire size. That is about it. Limited downforce too. I have none so no issues here.

last year tech was trying to be tough with me saying if I made 3rd or better they'd do a thorough inspection on the car. They just visually inspected it very briefly. No worries here though, I am way under classed.

ahhh RYAN! Atleast your car is ready..my whole setup is based around Street RWD rules. But now I can just go into MCSCC competitions since i'll miss this RTA event. FAIL.

Yes as far as classing goes..they say Street Class cars are just racecars with a small Cat on Street tires. The 3.5" rideheight rule is bullshit though..I heard the Berk Tech 135i even shaved down a splitter bolt to pass ride height..so they're really serious about that crap.

Sorry to hear your car isn't ready. Especially since you built to suit for class. I am a far way from built to class as my car is a SCCA SM car that isn't anywhere near built to class for that. I figure driving has a decent amount to do with it and I'm OK at that so hopefully it will make up what the car lacks.

My car is a 4x4 by most 240 standards so I think I will be OK for that ride height rule.

Bump! Starts tomorrow..competition on Sunday

Due to funds, I am Sunday (time attack) only. Saturday is practice. Have you seen the license paperwork? I have to fill it out on site Sunday. Maybe I'll stop by Saturday to get it.

Pulled it out! 1rst place in RWD Street Class. It was super intense. I was pushing very, very hard and dropped 4.2 seconds off of my fastest lap time on that track in previous events. I only won by 7 100ths of a second. I acutally beat all the RWD Modified times. That is the next class up from mine with race tires and tons of power. Pretty stoked and a great time.

In the very wet super session a couple of cars crashed in dramatic ways. It was crazy.

Model competition with bikini contest wasn't bad either

It was pretty intimidating actually. I was by myself with limited stuff and most people had tents, trailers, teams of people etc...

EDIT! THE RESULTS ARE BACK TO HOW THEY WERE. I RETAIN 1ST AND STILL 2 TENTHS OFF THE TRACK RECORD FOR STREET RWD.

Good news and bad news. The official results are different from the event results for some reason. According to the official results, I beat the track record for class with a 1:39:601. Bad news, one of my competitors also did with a 1:39:542 taking first place from me. I don't know what to say, the times are 100% up to Redline as I had no in car timing so I have to take their word for it.
