| well wen i get a time to...and when sumone lets me borrow a comp tester...straight edge and a feeler gauge...i can for sure diagnose why the engine really feels weak...to me it seems like a low comp+the fact that its overheatd before its leaning to warped head=crap...but then again u could be right Rated...it could be just the gasket...well if it is then it wud be hella cheap....but i need time and those tester and feeler gauge....so anyone have a comp tester near the Lombard/Villa Park area lemme know if i can borrow one... | |

| Ya know for about $60 any local machine shop can check the head for ya! How many miles on the motor? Plus if you are planning on boostin the motor you should just do a complete rebuild. Is this your only car? | |

| hmmm u guys have any idea how much a complete rebuild would cost at a shop??....i thought it would cost as much as getting another engine...i dont think i can do it myself coz i dont have enough tools to do it and plus its too cold to be doin it in my garage.... | |

Yeah with that many miles your gonna wanna rebuild before boost. Talk to Spector, he just rebuilt his KA and might be able to do it for you.

| I think i still have a ka engine in my backyard, been sitting there for about 2 yrs and covered with a table sheet lol, it came from a 93 fastback which my brother was going to do his project but decided to get a coupe so we parted it out I don't know if its working or not but you can stop by and check it. I can give it for w/e umm 25-50$ ? edit: I do still have it but its been sitting there for more than 2 yrs, i saw part of it and there was some surface rust, too freakin cold to check it all | |

| north side of chicago like 10mins from the lake
I'll let you kno too if its worth it, the way I'm seeing it is...
2yrs of weather + table cloth = high chance of motor being &$#(
but if its that bad I'll let it go for like under 20$ there might be parts on there still good
