| Ok well, I was checking out my cousins S14, he has a black 95 240sx 5spd, when we picked it up the car was in crappy ass shape, that gauge cluster doesn't work, I took apart the dash to replace it because the last owner jacked it up with three big ass holes for aftermarket gauges I guess, anyways, I checked the wiring and it seemed ok, I checked fuses, we even switched out for two different clusters and the same shit.
I can't figure it out, I replaced his struts today and noticed there were some wires hanging from the front right side by the transmission, one is blue one is pink and the other is white, could that have anything to do with the gauges not working? To be honest I think some of the gauge needles do work but for sure the speedo doesn't work, I do remember the coolant temp did work and so do all that cluster the lights, I also noticed under the hood there is a yellow wire coming out of the wire harness by the fuel rail, anyone know about that?
This car has been a damn hassle, does anyone know this car?
Its a black zenki, has 4 lug S13 SE wheels painted dark gray, there are dents on the front of the hood by the nissan emblem, no grill looks like no bumper support, generic ass red intake, the passenger side corner light was screwed through the fender to hold it in place, it has a generic 3" exhaust welded to the cat, the old dash had three big ass holes on top for gauges I would assume, it was lowered on eibach springs oem front struts and kyb gr2 rear struts and a shitty bondo job on the driver side quarter panel behind the driver door and a OEM spoiler crapily drilled into a non spoiler trunk.
All my cousin was told was the motor had a replaced head gasket that the he put in prior to selling it and that that the gauges never worked.
Hopefully some here can help me with any of this shit, I told him not to buy that shit. | |

| sorry it took me so long to add pics, looking further, i noticed there were some wire connectors by the throttle body that were NOT connected and i cannot find a place to plug them in i also found out that there is a single wire that is for the temp gauge, when i put it to a ground the gauge goes to overheating but the cat is NOT overheating. one wire connector has 3 wires and the other has 2 i have not gotten any pics of the 3 wires hanging from the bottom of the car by the tranny cause my cell phone sucks at taking pictures, also i cant remember the colors of the wires by the throttle body other than i think the two wire connector has a gray and yellow wire, colors are too faded and dirty to tell. on to the pics, WARNING: cam got ran over so i have cell phone pics. | |
