trans grinds when shifting into 2nd & 3rd

Ok fellas, this stared a few days ago. when I shift into 2nd and 3rd my trans will grind. So I have to put it back into neutral and very gently shift into gear. does anyone know why this is happening? My guess is a synchro or the clutch is going out??

Just want to add it does this until its warmed up then it stops.

Try changing your oil. I remember reading someone on Zilvia had something similar, and that fixed it.

I have a 5spd trans for sale in case you dont figure it out..

most likely synchros are starting to go

Yea I will change the fluid asap. And I heard that if you can go through the gears easy when the car is off then your synchros are fine and it's your clutch. Is this true?

if that is then thats a good guideline.

i dont know about the car off thing i know that the syncros help when the car gets put into neutral while driving before switching a gear it matches the rpms of the wheels

just try some syncromesh in your trans fluid it might help ive never tried it
