| On my motor the screws to actually put the crank angle sensor in they are out, and the previous owner does no know where they are. First I was wondering how to set this sensor in the correct position and where I could find replacement screws. Could this be what stops the car from starting? | |

| Um thanks? Okay what I meant was the cam sensor my bad the one in the front of the motor. http://www.180sx.co.uk/wp-content/gallery/joes-180sx/ca18det.jpgThe silver cylinder on the front side of the motor. I found the bolts and it's in now, but i'm not sure what to set it at. The car starts but then it slowly dies down like the revs start cutting off. I figured it might be I am missing the coolant temperature sensor or that I have no air filter on and the air sensor is sending a bad signal. I just got the car today so I am just trying to trouble shoot. I checked the fuel already and the pressure is at 40psi. I also checked the spark and that seems to be fine. Any help would be appreciated. | |

| That is the crank angle sensor (even though it reads off the cam). At least AllData calls it that. AllData says: - Quote :
- * Before removing crank angle sensor, put an aligning mark on crank angle sensor and timing belt cover.
* When installing the crank angle sensor, align marks on crank angle sensor and front cover that are marked when crank angle sensor was removed. I've never worked on one, but the crank angle sensor probably needs to be adjusted. | |
