| Hey, I was wondering if anyone on here was rockin megan streets or drifts cuz I'm lookin to drop my car but i'm torn between coils or strut+spring combo. I was talkin with one of my friends and he was tellin me that there isnt really a point to going coils for me since I would be tossing em onto my DD which would eventually rust up and be un...tweakable. Any suggestions? | |

| coilovers will go lower. strut/spring still keeps you at an offroading 4x4 height. | |

| My car is on Megan Streets. I've been streeting them for over two years with no problems. No rust, and I don't even have the dust boots on them. Cover the threads in lithium grease before you install them, and whenever you have them out. It helps prevent coilovers from seizing up. | |

| I just sold my streets. No real complaints, but I couldn't live with them as long term DD material. I never had any real issues with them though.
Ride with someone who has some before you make your final decision. Then buy em used, cheap. I sold mine for 500.

| Well in terms of the pricing, I figure instead of dropping a stack or more on used stance, I'd rather drop 6 or 7 bills for new megans... but I guess i'll have to hunt someone down and ask for a ride-along. Anyone wanna offer me a ride? | |

| I got th megans. I live in the south burbs and they are super incomfortable for daily driving. however, there are smooth and very effective at high speeds and corning. I have never bottomed out, and i drive my car hard most of the time. im 50/50 on these being good for daily driving. afew of my guys down here are sporting different coilovers and i have rode with them. the stances were a pretty good ride, ksports werent bad either. one guy had koni adjustables with eiback springs, very surprising at the comfortability and effectivness. Ill give you a ride along and let you take mine for spin if you wanna come down here to check out my megans. im bout 30-45 south of chicago. im right by dabs if you have been out here before. | |

| I agree with getting good coilovers the first time.
You can always put them on another chassis later.
