I know I'm not dumb. I was asking though, is the 15ibs enough to do the job or do I buy more then the 15?
Kevin, my bad. I didn't know you've owned 3 cars with gold covers. Just figuered since it is edgars old fastback and he had a gold cover.... And u bought it w/ sr under specific agreements... I just connected the dots. 15 lbs is plenty. i bought a 4 lb block for $5 and it was enough to do almost my entire car. and i had some left over to blow shit up. you should be fine with 15lbs. if you would like to find a place near you that sells dry ice: www.dryicedirectory.com

| Kevin... any chance you'd be up for some wire tucking suggestions regarding the fuse boxes and such you tucked away?
I won't get to it for awhile... but being my first nissan ever... having someone who has done it hanging over my shoulder would help a bunch.

| it's looking like a CA18DET might make its way into the engine bay. Tommy at iLL Garage told me about it. as he said, "it also has a brand new Competition stage 4 clutch. The head is brand new and freshly clean, however the buckets were just put back in random order so they need to be reshimmed."
not much work at all. it comes with the trans, starter, and he might hook me up on IC plumbing. i'll be taking a look at it this week.

Just make sure you stack up on misc. parts. Starting to get a little scarce. BTW Phase2 sells all the gaskets you need. Probably the main prob we have had with hers is coil packs going out. They sell them at Napa though. Good luck. If you ever want to check hers out LMK. We got the manual for the motor if you need a copy.

| CA's are kinda more trouble than they are worth.
i built one. but when it came down to it, it was just going to be WAY too much time and money for the engine management and shit to get it running. they are stout motors, but parts are too scarce IMO. SR's make it so easy.

SR's make it so easy. but dont want to spend $2k on a motor swap. this CA swap would be under a grand. maybe a little over when all is said and done. i still need suspension and wheels after that. doind a turbo KA would cost me about the same, but idk. i guess it depends how clean the motor is and how healthy it is. im going to do more research on it. i havent looked into it as much as i should/used to.

im going to do more research on it. i havent looked into it as much as i should/used to. if you have any questions feel free to hit me up. ive probably done more than enough CA research for the both of us. i spent about $2500 building a long block before i gave up on it lol. but its up to you, it all depends on how far you want to take it.

| If your looking for 200 or so hp, its not too hard with the Ca. Ca's have problems with bearings and headgaskets when your looking at 300+. Everybody recomends Sr's, but shit look around those are blowing up left and right. A shitty built motor is gonna fuck up regardless(sr,ka,ca,rb). | |

yeah, exactly. i've been reading through the Zilvia CA FAQ, and parts dont seem to bad to get (88 Nissan NX SE or something uses a lot of the same shit). i do plan to replace the oil pump for sure as well as the front and rear main seals. dont need those going out on me... probably a timing belt and tensioner as well. lots of guys are talking 230hp with just a T25, FMIC, intake, and exhaust with like 12psi. people throw away T25's, right?

| Yeah forgot to mention oil pump. Have one for hers but havent installed it yet. Yeah the parts are off the dual cam Pulsar. Everyone seems to recommend a recirculated bov, and catch can too. You can get the timing belt through Nissan still.
My girl has a T28, Fmic, dp, tp, exhaust, 480 inj, turbo elbow, safc, b.cntrl, walbro, and im sure im missing a ton of shit. Shes running 12psi. You can get the Nismo Ca mounts through tfactory. And Tomei still sells the majority of internals.
