The Signal seat is very snug, actually compared to other bucket seats I've had its comfortable too. - k c wrote:

| I have a few questions for you,
-Can you get pic's pf the rust? is it just some surface rust, or are we talking about holes trough the frame?
-You said stock swap, but have the A-PEXi for tuning. Do you have a burned chip running the engine and the A-PEXi for fine tuning/monitoring? or is it the stock 240 ECU and all the boost tuning done by piggie back?
-You mentioned the fuel tank repair, why? What was wrong?
-Is the roof painted blue or black?
-It doesn't look like it, but is that head liner sagging at all?
-What are the other parts you have included? oem seat, oem cluster, 240sx filler panel, ect?

-What are the other parts you have included? oem seat, oem cluster, 240sx filler panel, ect? I would love to put up a pic of the rust but as the car is in storage til the weather gets better i cant drive it to my shop to put it on a rack right now. but the rust is moderate on the rocker panels and id say medium on the drivers side frame rail. passenger rail is good. The engine setup is fairly stock, no internals and stock turbo, it is a 180SX ECU that I believe was tuned running the car but I did install the AFC Neo and AEM UEGO to be able to monitor and make minor adjustments. Turns out though that it doesnt need any right now. Regarding the fuel tank, I think I had scraped the bottom of the tank going up a driveway to steeply. it didnt leak from that but from some movement in the tank and it started to leak from a small section of the seam. I took it down and had it opened cleaned and re-welded by a facility that my dealership uses for repairs. i reintsalled it and filled it up, no leaks now. Roof is Blue, but in between the carbon hood and hatch it looks black. Head liner in that photo is sagging slightly. the car was practically gutted to properly install the hatch and remove wiring no longer in use. noting was cut just disconnected. I never got to put the trim piece that holds the headliner back on but its actually in the trunk. Just havent had a chance to. Other parts I'd include would be the original drivers seat which is in good shape, the original silvia hood, the original hatch, some seatbelt components i removed in anticipation of installing a harness on the drivers side. Extra nuts, bolts, switches, aftermarket parts would include gt style mirrors, a c-west wing (previously installed on the original hatch). A pair of cats, just a lot of extra things i've had over the last 8 240's i've owned. If anyone has anymore question feel free to ask. I remember almost 99% of the things that have been done to this car.

| Still interested. Couple more things...
-the car has been repainted seance the front end swap and side skirts, yes? Is that the oem color? any bluntly noticeable over spray?
-what is the approx mi on the car/drive train? Did you have any issues insuring it?
-silly question, but do you have any trouble with the hood staying down at speeds? I had a CF hood on my '91 Z24 and the corners would flap a little at highway speeds, I ended up putting pins on just to be sure. Have you tracked the car or taken it up to a hwy speed? is it secure? I also have never heard of F.A.L before (noobish i know) I had to google it to find out its plexiglass(sp?), does it have any wear marks/scratches form installation?
-Car is running on stock boost? any idea what it is putting out? Pulley set under drive also, or just light weight?
-what are the seat belt components removed? are both straps there and currently functional? Do both auto runners work well?
Sorry if I seem a little obsessed on details. I've never had a 240, a close friend of mine has a SR20 '91 hatch. He got me into them, he's also trying to get me into auto crossing. Ideally I want a kouki with a SR20/RB26/LSx, but that's way out of my price range now. Yours is very well done, I must say getting rid of the flip ups changes the whole look of the car. I love it.

Ideally I want a kouki with a SR20/RB26/LSx, but that's way out of my price range now. Yours is very well done, I must say getting rid of the flip ups changes the whole look of the car. I love it. The whole car itself has not been repainted, only the newer parts like the front end, body kit and the rear drivers quarter which had some scuffs taken care of after a drunkard rubbed me while i was parked. I dont see any overspray actually, i took the mojority of the pieces off to have them painted. the rest i made sure the car was masked properly because im rather picky myself. I would say the approximate mileage on the chassis is about 140K, on the engine probably 60K. Never had any issues with insurance, registered it as a regular 240sx. I've topped out the car once or twice but it was my daily driver and took it on the highway all the time. no problems at all with the hood, its solid enough that i didnt think it needed pins. i've had some hoods that were flimsy before and i put pins on too but this one is pretty nice. The F.A.L. glass is slightly different than just plexiglass or lexan. I had no problems installing it no scratches or damage. I even have a case of special glass cleaner without certain chemicals that F.A.L. recommends to prevent it from scratches or fogging. Yes, car is running on stock boost. I'd estimate the HP output at appx 200 to the wheel. I dyno'd it 2 years ago before a lot of changes and it was at 170. I took it to the track either last summer or the summer before that and it ran mid 14's but it would probably do alot better with better tires and a differential, i had a lot of wheel spin at launch and into 2nd gear. of course the boost could be upped...btw, i was cleaning my appt and found a boost guage and a manual boost controller i'd include also. The pulleys are a Megan lightweight set. the crank pulley is still stock so that can be improved. Seatbelt wise the passenger side is all there and the drivers side shoulder belt is there too and they both work. I only removed the drivers side lap belt. Feel free to ask any questions. PM me if you'd like my phone number. -Eddy

| Nice, just about everything you mentioned is how I'd like it done. Black interior would be sweet, and personally I'd do the roof black, it looks so good on hatchbacks. What did you mean by "topped it out"? Do I want to know how fast you've gone? lol, least It can take it.
I would use it as a summer cruiser/toy. I work in the city, so dd'ing it is out. The roads are terrible. But just as a weekend car that occasionally goes auto crossing. Leave it how it is for wile until I get board with oem boost. My friend bumped his to ~10psi, ran it a summer, went lean and melted a piston. So he got new pistons, rods, injectors, re-tuned for 15/16psi now. Its a good balance for what he does. He is running a 2way lsd, hates it. Do the stock cars have lsd? I don't even know, that would likely make a big difference in the 1/4. Unless you just meant a different final drive.
What series steering wheel does it have? You just said Sparco type, I went to their site and there are 20 wheels by them.
The driver side belt can be put back in for time being right? I would want to get another racing seat, and add a harness bar with 4pt belts. But that would be a winter project.
idk what else I want to ask....Thanks for getting back to me quick, I know I've got a few off the wall questions. I just don't have the space to do a swap myself, and I sure don't want to buy somebody's project that is all ghetto fabbed up. Sticking with a SR'd S13 I have my friend as a guide just in case. He's very ignorant to S14's for their weight and RB's for the extra trouble of getting one in for minimal performance difference.
I need to double check money situation and make sure I won't dig myself in a hole, I'll PM you tomorrow.

I need to double check money situation and make sure I won't dig myself in a hole, I'll PM you tomorrow. Well, I took it to 120mph+ on my way to Magic Waters once. hee hee, only for a few minutes. but yeah, it was solid. felt like it could go more but the speed limiter prevented it. At that time I had the original hatch with the C-West wing on it and the car was solid. Very stable with that extra downforce. If you planned to go that fast often I'd recommend putting the Hatch/Wing back on. I liked it at stock boost and never really felt the need to change it because I drove it locally and wanted to keep good gas mileage, by the way my record for best gas mileage while driving it like a grandma is almost 30mpg. Like I said though, I got the AFC and AEM just in case I ever decided to up anything. Steering wheel... The seatbelt can be reinstalled, probably take 20 minutes to take out the drivers seat and put everything back. -Eddy

| Nice, I've only gone that fast in 2 cars so far (well me driving that is) There is no need for it, I cruse about 40 on most city roads, 65-80hwy pending traffic. I'd probably never see that speed in the car unless somebody started messing with me.
30mpg isn't bad, I'm sure that mostly hwy though right? I have a SOHC auto Saturn for a dd, 26/27city no matter how I drive and the record is 38hwy, 33-35hwy mostly.
I can't quite tell, are the spokes on that wheel blue or green?
