| all of them look like shit up close. i dont care how much time you spent, there are always bubbles, creases, ripples, and parts that dont stick.
dont do it. just paint your car.

| yeah this is not as good of idea as it seems. it can go on pretty smooth but never look as good as paint. mine had alot of wrinkles and creases in it and i worked at it for 3 days straight to try to keep it smooth. but if you really want to do it check out paperstreetplastics on ebay, they have a ton of colors and sizes. thats where i got my vinyl and i got 2 of the 30ft x24in rolls. you probably wont use it all but its better to have too much then not enough. i couldnt do it this way on my car because it was flat black but on a friends car that had paint with a clear coat this was my technique, spray the sticky side of the vinyl with water before you apply it, that way you can move it around as you need to, then squeegee the water out and use a heat gun at about 8 inches away to help dry anywater thats under neath so that you dont get bubbles , keep in mind it doesnt stretch so dont pull to hard on it. when you get to the corners you have to cut and section it which looks pretty haggard up close but from 10 feet you wont see any of it. also expect MAD attention from cops, but on a plus note it also gets MAD attention from teenage girls. i would suggest practicing a little before you go all out. i practiced on the hood of my beater s13 just to try to work out the bugs before i got started. you can see here how many wrinkles are really there. | |

| the vinyl didnt like to stick to flat/satin surfaces in my experience. i used water like he said above.
without water, it may stick, but good luck not having air bubbles and such.

| couldnt you get away with a heavy ass flake in your clear, and clear it a few time to make it all add up to be that glittery? it doesnt loook bad in pics but i'm sure it looks horrible up close judging by the pic above, and even from the pics at the top i was picking out wrinkles.
either way good luck with it kurt, let me know if you need a hand doing anything.
