Ok, I've just realized that I've been doing quite a bit of work to this thing and figured I'd start up a thread for it.

Here is the history...

I bought the car late last fall from some guy. The car originally had a Redtop SR20DET in it, but it wasn't running. Also had S13 Silvia front end, Turbo XS bov, Ebay FMIC, Koyo Radiator, Samco hoses, unknown clutch/flywheel, Tein tension rods, Invidia N1 exhaust, and carbon fiber console lid (yuck!!).

I needed the car as a winter driver so I decided instead of leaving the redtop in the car and trying to figure it out, I would take the DOHC out of my 94 Convertible 240 and put it in the hatchback and put the redtop into the vert.

1989 240 Hatchback SR-KAswapsDay310-22-07003

After all that nonsence was finished, I went and sold the S13 Silvia front for 2 reason's. 1. I don't like Sil-eighty's, exspecially haggard ones. 2. I figured I was gonna beat the shit out of this car and figured why waste $800.00 by keeping the front end. I then grabbed my old bumper, fenders, and headlights from my old coupe and bought a hood. But we decided to cusomize...

Then a whole lot of nothing happened for a bit and I decided to get a steering wheel from Edgar. Went out to Chicago and got it, but unfortunatly I also found a blonde lady from Wisconsin driving a Hummer H2 in Chicago. She gave me a P.I.T. manuver but luckly realized it after rubbing my rear quarter.

So I talk to Tyler and had him cut me up a sticker.

A bunch of driving. Got some 5mm spacers and put on my old Tein HE coilovers and new rotors/pads all round. A bit of sliding, clipped a few curbs, bent a couple wheels. Then Chicago240 meet comes up.

1989 240 Hatchback CRW_2195s

I got some baller ass hubcaps from Angel so I had to put them bitches on.

So a bit happens, more sliding, more driving, less curbs and I started noticing my car pulling every once and a while. Jack it up and found my outter tie rod is bad. Call into Touge Factory and have a set of Tein inner and outter tie rods on their way.

I also just got in a Nagisata auto (NAMS) dual lock seat rail in for my GreenMachineS13 special red fiberglass bucket seat. I need to get a harness bar and harness cause the stock belt setup really blows with the seat. I'll get pics of that later.

So where I sit now I'm planning to be ordering some stuff in the next month or so. Here is my wishlist as of now:

Suspension links (RUCA, toe, traction at least)
New set of Stance GR+
Circuit Sports 5 lug conversion hubs
Nismo 60mm extended studs
Zauber Dish wheels 17x8 +10 17x9 +14
205/215 / 40/45 / 17 Not sure on size
Then here I'm a bit confused.

Either more suspension and V:S aero
***** OR *****
Basically stock Redtop motorset

I'm leaning twords the aero and suspension first. Mostly because of gas prices and secondly because I always tell myself I'm going to finish the footwork first, but always end up with a Redtop before I finish, or in some cases, even get started.

But anyway, thats my build up so far. I should be having some good stuff comming soon.

Ok, so today I got my Tie Rods from TF and shits are awesome. I fail at setting the toe, but I love the angle. First thing I did was rolled out of the shop, down to the proving ground (a.k.a. the end of the road) and tried to spin out. I did it, but was amazed that I nearly held it. So a few doughnuts later at full lock I was a happy camper.

Also, some pics of that seat installed. If your tall, and accoring to www.FRsport.com from what other people have said, the Nagisata Auto rails are the lowest without modification. These things are beastly. Dual lock for that extra security. $190 price tag is a bitch, but well worth it.

One other thing, lower control arm's are next on the list besides for an alignment cause my baller joints are oozing. Probably go ahead and get that power brace while I'm down there and hopefully a set of Stance around the same time. Pics when that goes down.

FRsport. Only took like 5 days to get to my door after ordering. I got the dual lock one btw.

Here are a few more pics I took the other day. I have thoes black wheels on back cause I tore up the tires on the steelies and ended up getting a flat tire. Then my buddies went to get these wheels off the vert and on the way to get me, they ran out of fuel and had to call someone to help them.

The wheels are 16x8 +30 after a 5mm spacer.

Yes, the seat is Fiberglass.
No, the center console lid is real carbon fiber. I don't like it, its just the way the car came. If anyone wants to trade, I'm all for it.
The shifter bezel is wrapped in military tape. It originally had carbon fiber vinyl, but I stripped it off only to find someone drew on it with white out. I'm trying to get another one of thoes too.
The dashboard is blue. The car originally had blue interior and the previous owner was trying to convert it. Only piece I need is the dashboard.
Yes, the previous owner thought it would be cool to paint the stock taillights like they were kouki's. I hate it and want to fix that too.

besides being covered in white out, what is the condition of the shifter bezel? I am planning on painting my center console area black. So if you want, I can give you my shifter bezel (still has shift pattern on it) for yours if you take off the tape

I don't really understand why people change interior parts in their 240's to carbon fiber. 240's have clean interiors stock.

Just some updated pics. I don't really have any other plans as of right now for it. It's back to having the s14 seat in it and in the next couple weeks will have the stock bumpers on it for winter. I've planed to get rid of it in the spring for a coupe, but I've been tossing the idea with a buddy of mine of the 2 of us getting zenki's, but either way, nothing more is going to be done to this unless I have to and will be sold like it sitts in the pics except possibly have stance gr+ or they will be sold sepretly.

Yep, no need for fender roll with ride height like this. At least it looks decent and is very good for daily driving.

Awesome 16x8 ~+15 offset after 25mm spacer. Look cool but feel like sandpaper cause of the glitter dumped on the wet blue paint.
