alright i just pulled this out a few days ago...
i was just going to rebuild this one, but the actual rebuild kit is discontinued from ORC so i cant.
but
this is a good alternative to those who want a really nice clutch (1700 dollars new) for less. basically..what you can do is resurface the flywheel, resurface the plates, and there is a shop..i believe its
www.clutchspecialties.com that can put more friction material on the disks. this is a very cheap way to do it and still works very well.
the only thing you really need to know, is the thickness of the friction material on the disks so that the exact amount can be reapplied and so after the plates are resurfaced..the clutch still 'stacks' at the same height. you can get this information from a dealer of ORC. or ORC themselves..
so the plates and disks, definatly need to be fixed. basically 0 life on them when they came out.
the clutch cover and flywheel on the other hand...are perfect, nothing wrong with them.
here are some pictures..
i can get pictures of anything else you want if you are seriously interested.
also, the flywheel isnt in these shots because it was still on the car at the time..its off now, and i can get some pictures of it.
this will include all necessary bolts and hardware for installation.
starting from the clutch cover working my way down..
400 shipped for everything..
-clutch cover
-both plates
-both disks
-flywheel
-hardware
280 shipped for
-clutch cover
-flywheel
if you buy everything for 400 shipped..its just a rough estimate maybe ~200 dollars for the disk material, plates resurface, and flywheel resurface..you have a good as new 1700 dollar clutch for $600.
thanks
