| just wondering how they tune them and what they get tuned for? some1 was telling me that they just tune it for the injectors and maf.
i thought it was injectors maf and turbo and cams?
can some1 help me out?
i'm thinking about trading my APFC for a JWT ecu + cash, tuned for 740cc's and z32 maf and this guy is telling me that the turbo doesn't matter...

| Send out ur ecu, they tune to w/e u say u have in ur set up. They can only tune for certain maf's, injector's and such. Read the damn site. | |

| Rom tunes are plug and play type of deal. Since its a mail tune, it will be generic and might have issues with idle. But its cheap. APFC is awesome if you can get someone to tune it. | |

| I got jwt tuned ecu for nismo 740cc and z32 Maf, stock comp ratio, the turbo and PSI dont matter as long as the injectors and the MAF does not get maxxed out, im good for 500hp with my tune, you can change the psi and evryting, really good tune compared when i got tuned with my SAFC2. | |

| alright.. well i decided to just keep my APFC instead.
another question... what kinda boost levels should i stay under (not that i'm gona be boosting anyway from now til spring even if i do drive my car) with a 2871r, 740cc's, z32 maf, cometic gasket.
just incase i go on the highway for a lil pull just to feel it out.

| Shits all over the charts, ive heard everything from 15psi to fucking 25psi. Food for thought though, Forrest Wangs Radical ass sr on GT30R boosts like 21psi on stock bottom end and throws down 440whp.(This is a car that gets the shit kicked out of it at major drift events almost every weekend.) | |

| look at the turbo map, see where its most efficient at - go 1-2lbs above that.
Sure you can run 45PSI, but whats the point if turbo lost its efficiency 20PSI ago.

| most people don't. take it to someone who can tune it on dyno. Don't drive it till its tuned or most likely you'll blow it up.
Enthapy does provide a base map for PFC IIRC.
I got no advice as far as who would do a good tune. AMS is overpriced and overbooked, SP might not know enough about SRs.
