so maybe its just me. but i have had 3 240's and all of them have done thing..
so you get on the high way then you come to a stop and it doesnt idle back down. and will stay at like 1500-2000 rpm.. i dont know what it could be?. and when it sits eventually it will idle down. does anyone know why that is?.
maybe old flywheel?. because i know on a lot of evo's the revs down go down very fast becasue of the flywheel.-

sounds to me liek it is a IACV issue..

the iacv better known as the Intake Air Control Valve, gets loaded up with gunk and causes the car to act strange as hell...

easy way to take care of it, take it off and clean the piss out of it with TB cleaner and reinstall it.....

also, the IAA er whatver it is called now days is right next to the IACV, the IAA valve can also get gunked up and could use a cleaning as well....

im tired of cleaning mine so i just unhooked both plugs on the IACV and left the IAA pluged in, car idles normally and where it is supposed to now....if you have extensive mods and etc id check into permanetly keeping them offline....however if your pretty much stock id just clean em up and try again....

idle / intake whichever lol

the IACV, i have heard so many names for it is nuts but yea the iacv

you could run a seafoam job through it to see if it acts normal, or rather acts better, but you cant get it all cleaned out unless you pull it off and do it...

theres a small check valve/bearing inside the IACV that is what i have noticed gets all coked up with black nastyness. also the spring inside there gets all choked up as well.

i have cleaned mine numerous times and just got pissed off and killed it lol...i set my idle via the throttle body now
