yea, they are pretty nice... I didnt know I was getting them. Same thing with the fancy valve stems. RS watanabe lists the lugs for an extra $200 and the valve stems for $60/pair.. but they were all just in there when I opened the boxes. I'll take it though haha. Glad I didnt go ahead and buy lugs and valve stems separately because I was about to.

Unreal.

DZ102 are 'star specs' or whatever right? I've tried looking for those from an Norwegian dealer, but I can't seem to find them. I really want to run anything with 'DZ' in the name.

No DZ102 is just the new DZ101, comparable to Falken ZE912, Star Spec Z1/Z2 is its own tire model, comparable to RT615K.

I know we wont agree on this, but I would have put 225s on the back of this. I know your flare wont clear, but you have too much power for stretched 205's on a 10. I suppose that will just help me and Tomy stay with you though so ill just shut the fuck up...

I wouldnt say comparable to falken zeix line. dz101/102 are an ultra high performance summer only tire, zeix are still technically all seasons. These arent as soft as z1/z2 but still pretty soft/grippy.

225/50 is way too tall I think, would make my shit look like a drag car. 205 will be good. If I can help it, i'm not going to be drifting on the 10"s in the back either. Hoping to have some 9j spares and run a 195 dz102 or federal in back, I think that will be plenty of grip for my power level. Rather than a wider tire like a 225, I'm just going to run a grippier summer tire and possibly lower pressure and I should be good. Anything is going to be better than the 185 sumitomo all seasons I was running last summer..

waiting on tension rods from Streeter to put the front suspension back together. easy

Also waiting on rear coilovers from Ireland so I can start mocking up the rear end and taking measurements.

should be good to go by the time its actually warm enough to drive it.

Big day today, it got up to like 60 so I spent all day wrenching on this thing, I want to get it back on the ground ASAP. Dropped the subframe out and put the new TRD engine mounts in, found out BOTH my old mounts were split in two pieces, so my engine was really only being held in by it's own weight. AWESOME.

then installed the new LCA/knuckle/tension rod combo and test fitted the front wheels, looks fucking perfect. 15" looks kinda donk on ae86, but I think it will be better when it's on the ground. Front end is done aside from outer tie rods, which i'm waiting for to come in at Advance Auto.

Satty also made me some weld-on traction brackets for the new rear end. Mock-up for that will be starting real soon here.

Assorted pics.
