i need some input about 1j`s.

iv been hearing that by replacing the y-pipe and doing a straight pipe kill off the turbos fast. is there any truth or evidence of this.

iv done some research but the answers are all over the place.

individual straight pipes? Or replacing the factory Y pipe off the turbos? My buddy replaced the factory Y off the turbos will no ill effects.

well I'm probably going to do both because I can't find a downpipe that will fit.the stock y pipe flange.

The reason they "die" is do to there being no restriction so the turbos generate more boost. Not the biggest deal.
