Ive always wondered what everyone else has ran in their ka's....or even sr's.........what are you running? Any additive?Conventional? Full synthetic? Synthetic blend?

I run Quaker state High RPM 20w50 Synthetic blend and a quart of Lucas Oil stabilizer. Really quieted my lifters down, and i beat the PISS out of my ka on the regualr basis and it has never let me down.

If you say so.

During the first 4000 miles or so since the most recent rebuild I was running 15w40 mobil1 dinobones. I just recently switched to 20w50 synthetic (pepboyees didn't ave any 15w40). Before this rebuild I was running 5w30 valvoline synthetic and had no issue with it...I doubt that contributed to the oil pressure regulator locking up.
I have always heard that if you are going to used synthetic, start early, third oil change or so. Synthetic supposedly contains detergents which will clean up the inside of the engine but may also remove some of the carbon and sludge that is sealing up minor leaks.
