been wanting to put up a build thread here so here it is gonna try and condense it in a short and simple post

picked this up my first s13 in bloomington il



felt so good to have a s13 finally then randomly meet kevin at a no FWD meet at sushi station

sold the hatch then picked this up some where 3 hours in wisconsin







had the basics on it lowering springs gt spec exhaust s14 seat some grant steering wheel CF hood

didnt like the stock wheels so picked these up here from aric actually



got excited and put them on even though the car looked like poo





then saved some money and got this



lowered my car a lil





purchased this from rad mike!



put it on i felt cool with a seat hah



got a welded from adrian at oodang garage also gave him my s14 seat and a half a case of broken coronas

traded my zeta 2 rep for lowmax rep i think from ryan i dont remember



started the rebuild process with ian



then james and peter helped out also

bought a shell with a lot of extra stuff with the intent to swap everything over but the kid before me trashed the back of it so sold it and made some profit off of that

bought new fronts from here



some shit was stuck so adrian had to cut some stuff up





painted the car then ended up like this







saved some money picked this up from mykem



it was way to trashed so i sold it to some random person

then picked this up from oodang david





saved more money and trucky hooked me up with wheels, spacers, rear overs, front fenders so i stocked piled all this during winter





put some stuff on david helped me put the overs on then traded my bumper for mikes stream



picked up a rear bumper from wutangben origin stylish/stream/vertex rep



got skirts and ended up looking like this







prepped the car in the parking lot lol and traded the gt spec for blast pipes from mike









ghetto paint in the garage





then it turned out like this

Thanks man that's the old car and history of it wish it went to a better owner but money is money ill be posting up the new car when I get home

you spend more time posting the same pictures and stories online than you do trying to get your car on the road...

There's something called priorities in life that you have to tend to its not about cars 100% of the time that's something you won't never understand because you don't have priorities kid and as far as using same pictures no shit? tossed my seat on and wheels from the old car



didn't like how the cut up pignose looked so i bought front bumper off of my friend which turned out to be keiths old jam from dabz also traded the metal fenders for +20mm





painted in the garage againn





then hit up wekfest





then blew the turbo maybe 3 weeks after i forgot

so i decided to switch up and change everything sold my aero and seats car sat like this for a while





then my buddy hit me up he still had his SR chilling in his garage since highschool sold it to me for a very very good price why let a good motor go to waste was sitting for 4-5 years maybe if so which was PERFECT TIMING because I started engine building class decided to pick it up and wanted to build it talk to pavel about it and gave me advice and info also the people at tf





transported it to school the motor was missing some things and also half taken apart so me and my buddy started the tear down

had this thing through out the whole semester pretty cool a must have when you are rebuilding/building engines



we started from the bottom up had to take off the lower oil pan and upper oil pan

look at all that old ass sludge build up



had a lot of rtv cleaned it up a bit



later on found this on the lower oil pan ( found out to be a piece of the timing chain cover )



more rtv





and more rtv



cleaned it up





labeled and cleaned up



next day we tore it down even more

timing chain cover off more rtv



tossed the upper and lower oil pan in the hot tank



came out clean



every other thing i took to the parts washer

time to move on to the head

over all pretty clean nothing too crazy





started taking all of the valve train off



organized shit so I don't loose anything





power washed the shit outta the head



then hot tanked it



then we started to really clean and inspect the head

before shots





After shots I was working the head with the fine hair wire brush attachment in a drill then used small wire brushes the exhaust ports were a bitch to clean and get in too







tossed it in here again





that shit took about 30 mins so me and my partner cleaned out the valves



30 mins later

if you need any sr valves/springs/retainers I have a spare SR head with those things still in it. Dunno if you're going aftermarket or what, but I've heard those sodium(?) filled sr valves are kinda pricey sometimes.

idk, i didn't read anything, just saw you stripped your head down, wasn't sure if you need anything.

Was gonna post the rest of it but power went out I have bc valve train and bc cams but I do need a bare head ill post what my classmate did to it -_- if you're willing to just sell the head Lmk

the head isn't usable, so that won't work.

Learned how to do angle cuts on valves in class and did them to all my valves

wanted to measure and see the difference on the lift on the stock cams and bc cams pretty big difference



long story short on the head i was sick so my buddy was doing 3 angle seat jobs on the head someone switched the grinding stone on him so it made a huge pit on the head making it un-usable machine shop i took it too messed it up even more ( did it for free )





mailman dropped these off Brian crower TI retainers and valve springs









freeze plugs taken out



before and after cleaning up the pistons ( might be upgrading pistons and keeping stock rods )





tossed the block in



all cleaned up and shit





measured all cylinders with a dial bore gauge everything is in spec! was very surprised then again motor was just chillin for 4 years ish



this was a pain in the ass





put everything in the unusable head because im dropping it off to pavel to double check everything (i don't trust my work yet )

















heres the motor all put together currently its with pavel all i need for it to be finished is all of the gaskets a new head timing chain cover and oil pump and the accessories probably gonna be running a s15 spec r or a gt2871r and contemplating if i want to run forged pistons









came up on stance rucas for 100 bucks

got a full URAS4 kit from chaser to go with the works 9 front







buddy that i bought my sr from gave this to me for free since he didnt need it

sold the old front fenders they were falling apart so i scooped these up +20mm origin single vents



picked up CS turbo lines and OEM 7 layer exhaust mani gasket



ready to be put in



bought one of these because ive been using a scissor jack lol



fittings + gasket are in



then these fuckers came in after 5 months or something like that (ordered it in october) origin type 2 rear overs +50mm steppers




test fit



got another new gasket



new injectors came in



got new rear swaybar links



got more shit from tf

Couplers ( had to special order a 3.5-2.5 lol i need a z32 maf -.- )
Coil pack cover
Ran to autozone to get
Paint to match my painted cold pipe
Gasket maker thing? err a roll of un cut gasket so I can make my own lol



painted the coil pack cover and hot pipe to match the IC piping all blingy and shit



replaced the old shit with a new tomei duracon was on sale lol



look and feels better



cleaned shit up a lil bit

traded my 25mm spacers for these 38mm spacers



Then went ahead and ordered these thanks kevin for the heads up DDM tuning HID kit got the white kind forgot the temp



went to ace and replaced the stupid stripped injector cap screws with hex keys





since the injector caps were of I went ahead and painted it the same shit as the intercooler piping n junk



Then i changed the Fuel filter with a z32 filter from vatozone replaced the plugs and changed the oil and filter





Car runs 100% with all the maintenance pretty excited

then had a visitor come by to put the HID's in





then today replaced the clutch master cylinder along with the salve
