Im looking into picking up a Hydro-e brake, and I wanted
to get some input on them.
Brands/ mounting location/ fuction/ performance/ DIY intall.

I know a couple of people that have cool e-brake set ups.

IMO the driftworks setup is the only way to go. High quality + affordable + still works as a parking brake + pedal braking wont be affected/affect ebraking when used at the same time. Thats the route I plan to go when its time for one.

"Can be used or use in both the normal position or in the upright position.
Swapping between normal and upright is a simple case of removing a couple of circlips and flipping the lever over."

Website says you can.

i dont really understand why people go with hydro ebrakes?

properly adjusted ebrake/cables with shit pads will lock up the rears.

eh, my ebrake is so fucked up its not worth fixing. I would need new everything, from the lever to the calipers. hydro ebrake would be cheaper and more reliable.

if i had a good working ebrake, or one that I could easily fix, i wouldnt ever think about a hydro setup. But mine is so FUBAR it just makes sense to upgrade.

staging brakes do that, like those CNC units everyone seems to have. The driftworks setup doesnt effect pedal braking at all.
