lookin for a 240.

okay so im lookin for an s13 240. year doesnt matter to me really. id like it to be running and stick is a must. id like the body to be somewhat decent so it doesnt look like shit. going to be a project so as long as it gets me back hme then we're fine . if theres any out there please let me know! even if theres one spotted at a dealership id appreciate the help. thanks a lot guys.

have u checked feng auto... i know they are not the best at having good cars but since u said u dont really care about the motor... try them...

yeah i checked, ive been there a couple times too. i missed an opportunity a few months ago but im sure theyll get more.

How much you looking to spend? Mine is for sale... 6k takes it home.

DO NOT buy from feng autos... do a carfax and you'll see why... my freind almost bought a "junk" title car from them for 4500. carfax before you buy anything from them...

alright thanks for the tip. well i dont have much right now, i was lookin to go relatively cheap (really low) cuz i have only 2k in hand. i was planning on selling/trading my current car for a good chunk, about 3k so i dont know...5k?

if your friend almost bought a junk title car from them, and he needed a carfax to tell him that then he isnt very knowledgeable. The title would say at the top salvage if its still salvage, or rebuilt if it once was salvage. and he would obviously need to sign the title before leaving.

hey, since you guys live in chicago, or very near it, do you know of any major used car dealerships that would sell some? i live like 30 minutes away but it would be pointless to just drive around looking.

AGREED! i almost bought a s14 there milage said 102 i checked carfax 180k! on emissions ha;f a year before. you must be careful when u go there.

Feng auto always has a good selection of 240's but they are always way over priced! My suggestion to you is to look on the autotrader online and check out craigslist.com. Also, just keep searching the forums. With a little time and patience, you will find the right one! Trust me you don't want to buy from a dealer. I used to work as a salesman and the mark-up on the used car is usually 60 percent. Just a little FYI!

feng auto also double the price for a car that has a salvage title as well... aka all the cars on their lot... you'll be lucky to find a car there that wasn't fixed by them. the owner isn't a licensed deal either...

Autotrader for the win!! But dont only keep your eyes looking in the chicago area or even illinois for that matter. The best deals are usually outta state so be sure to search the whole region and Im sure you'll find what your looking for

yea... i search 200 miles for cars when i search... there's a 240 fer like 1100 on autotrader right now... coupe primer black 5spd. 102k miles... looks liek a deal to me as of looking at the AD... prolly long gone though

Yea and Ive noticed alot of 240's either in florida or florida cars. Id say east coast for the win though thats where I have seen some of the best deals maybe it was just lucky or something but they were full of 240s when I was looking

chicago.craigslist.com ftw, 240s on there all the time. There is a clean one going for like 1300.

i know this thread is quite old but ill put in my 2 cents...out here in cali there are a crap load of 240s...most with the sr conversion already done...so if yall headin this way or wanna ship a car look around the la or san diego area
