yup. its not like drifting is their only job. many will work for car shops and have to deal with working on customers cars while trying to get their own ready.
lots of sleepless nights near competitions

| unless you got great sponsorship those guys make next to nothing I remeber a documentery on ken gushi before he got his falken sponsorship it was showing him working out of a lil shop that sponsored him and he was saying that his only income was through the shop and driving actually costed him money. So pretty much id say the guys like sam hubinette (dodge) and other drivers with good sponsorships are the only ones doin like really well and everyone else is prolly just an enthusiast or just gettin by

| Even most D1 drivers still have their day jobs. Taniguchi is a superGT driver, and just drives. Most other drivers have there companies and shops. The american pros don't make much at all, i know ken gushi got a sweet deal with ford, but thats raaare. basically expect to spend THOUSANDS before you even start braking even. |
