Subject: where does the green wire go September 20th 2007, 4:26 pm
my stock tach doesnt work so im hooking up an autometer tach on my s14sr with the wc ecu.i tried to hook the green wire to the tach signal output and its not working.if it doesnt work there then what should i hook the green wire to.i searched but i found no answers

I hooked mine up to the Light green/black wire on my distributor... I think

r u sure cuz i found no answers and my tach is going out so i bought a faze tach gauge so i am hoping looking foward to it ill see what can i do

ka and sr are different. ka - distributor, sr - coil pack. i've never installed a tach on a sr, but usually you can do 1 of 3 things. either connect directly to the ecu tach wire (sometimes you get lucky and it works). connect to wire behind the gauge cluster (again luck). or you need to buy a tach adapter (autometer makes one, MOST COMMON WAY), so it reads the signal accurately. keep in mind every car is different.
